I cannot wait. I'm so excited to see our guys this year ball out. If what Ricky says about Hill is true, consider us as having gotten 2 extra first round picks in Hill and Kelvin this year. Our WR Corps will be absolute studs this year.

This^^^

If Hill performs to his physical abilities (size and speed combination is sick).....then a receiving group of Olsen, KB, Funchess, Hill, Ginn, and whoever else makes it will be absolute nightmares for defenses.

Ricky's words about Hill were pretty amazing.  I mean it's one thing to hear Ron say our players are coming along well, but Ron is such an optimist and is pretty quick to give out praise...  It's another thing to hear this stuff about Hill out of the mouth of the guy who's job it is to make sure Hill performs at this level.  Ricky will have egg all over his face if he says Hill is the real deal and he's not.  So yeah, my excitement for Hill has just gone through the roof.

At this point with Olsen, a healthy KB, a dramatically improved Funchess and a "miracle" Stephen Hill, + speedy Ginn.... it almost doesn't matter who else makes the roster!   Brown, Bersin, Garrett, Norwood, Byrd.... they might really really be struggling to get snaps if we have three really dominant WRs excelling in KB, Funchess & Hill and then Olsen too.

The WR competition is going to be pretty brutal for 1 or 2 spots, but unfortunately whoever earns those spots may be inactive a lot of the time from the way it sounds like KB, Funchess & Hill are shaping up.

But of course, it's way too early yet.  Hill hasn't played a live-action snap in a real game in over 2 years..., so, I'm trying to keep expectations in check, but it's getting harder and harder to rein in my hopes for our WRs.

I don't think this coaching staff can get enough credit.  If what's being said is true (and some of it is coming from multiple people in the media and coaching staff now) then it's truly a great job being done.  This applies across the roster but if you just take the WRs,  the names being developed in-house, and performing or showing well, the last 3 years (Benji, Funch, Ginn, Brown, Hill, Bersin, Norwood, Byrd, Garrett) are pretty much a collection of cast-offs, UDFAs and raw receivers.

I honestly don't know if this will ever happen.  He has so much invested here.  Not just with this team, but with the area in general.  I know, know...money talks, but does he even have the aspiration to become something bigger like a head coach?  I never got that vibe from him.

I might just be saying this because I too will cry the day he's no longer here.

I agree. Just because he is a WR whisperer, doesn't mean he'd be a good OC (I'm not saying that he wouldn't be). G-man may be a bit harsh when it comes to releasing players, but he's been extremely loyal to his coaching staff (with good reason, we're winning) I can't imagine him letting Ricky get wooed away unless another team is down right stupid about the amount of cash they offer.

If he has indeed turned Hill into a premier WR, He'll be so busy at Proehlific Park, that he won't have time to be an OC.

This!  Ron generally gives the bland, stock, "everything's gonna be OK" answers that a head coach must. I don't see Proehl as the type that BS's much. his "we ain't got no wideouts" rant from the sidelines last season was one of the best things I've ever heard!
