Hornets Are Signing.....

Recommended Posts

Best success this town ever had with a center was a Georgetown alum.

Maybe Hibbert can keep it going under Pat Ewing who is also Jamaican. He just needs to focus on rebounding and defense. We know he can score too but he has to be that enforcer for Kemba.

I think he'll be very motivated by Ewing. We may have yet to see the best of Roy Hibbert.

stay tuned...

The offseason was "won" just by keeping Batum and not panic signing a Harrison Barnes type guy to a max contract.

Adding Hibbert for 5 million with the crazy money being thrown out is a win.

It sucks losing Lin and Lee, but the Hornets will be about the same next year. IF MKG can stay healthy, they'll potentially be a tad better. Just sucks that the East is currently locked up for the next few years and the Hornets are stuck in NBA purgatory of being good enough, and not bad enough, to land studs in the draft or have the assets to trade for them.

Which is what we were trying to avoid when we blew it up before signing Big AL a few years back. Still happened.

Good move for both parties. At worst he is a backup big that provides some rim protection for the bad defense on our second unit. At best he takes the starting role from Zeller and finally gives us the presence on the interior we needed to be even better last season.

We re-signed Batum and Kemba is locked up for pretty much nothing for three more seasons. We're going to be pretty damn good this year, people here seem to forget we were 3rd in the east this year, and no team has really gotten a lot better (Horford doesn't make Boston very much better imo).
