BC to retire Kuechly's Jersey

Recommended Posts

I heard about it on 610 this morning.  Unfortunately, this article also talks about Matt Ryan as Boston College will be retiring his jersey as well.  I'm sorry...the good news is that their jerseys will be retired during separate ceremonies, so Ryan's celebration won't taint Kuechly's.

Boston College will retire the jerseys of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan and Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly in separate ceremonies during the 2016 season.

I guess there is something to be said in that in only took Luke 4 years to get his jersey retired while it took Ryan 8.

This is the Golden Age of Panthers Football folks! When have we ever had 4-5 HOF locks on one team?

I'm definitely optimistic, and probably considered a homer, but really 4 - 5 HOF locks?

Who besides Luke & Cam?

Thomas Davis

Ron Rivera

3 locks IMO:

Dude I love TD but you're delusional if you think he has any shot at the hall.

The book on Thomas Davis isn't closed yet. If he can continue to play at a high level and the team has continued success it's possible, that's an IF

He's one of my favorite players ever, but TD has absolutely no shot at the HOF.  Neither does Olsen for that matter, unless he suddenly becomes Gronk 2.0 these next few years and gets a ring along the way.

TD is at the ass end of his career and he simply just doesn't have the accolades for entry into the HOF.  He's 33 and just now got his first Pro Bowl.  Olsen is a similar case, but he's got 2 Pro Bowls and isn't quite as close to the end as TD is.

Kalil has a far better shot (and a realistic one TBH) than TD and Olsen

    • He had a turnover on all three goals he was on the ice for. Plus he had that god awful delay of game penalty. Like legit his GS actually shows he was the cause of the loss and he was only on the ice for 12 minutes. You remove him from that game and the Canes win or at worst go to OT.  Let's put this in perspective, in 12 minutes he directly led to 3 goals against. In the 48 minutes without him on the ice it was an even-steven 2-2 game and that's disregarding that god awful delay of game penalty that led to goal number 4 of the 5 given up.      I don't see how anyone could say that he didn't directly lead to the loss.
    • reality is the piling on of Frank Reich is just the standard huddle angle we take of putting all blame on someone after the fact.   as I was an OG Frank hater before it was cool to be......now the swing goes too far the other way and people will claim me is as a Frank defender.  Frank Reich was the definition of a .500 middle of the road NFL coach.  He technically was a winning coach and above .500 coming here but he is and was NFL average.  we were the biggest joke in a decade.....because they paired Frank Reich (a dude who was going to do what he does in the NFL) with a dude who couldn't do NFL basics and Frank was forced to play him.  That's not Frank being a loser.  That a bad org around Frank.
    • Toronto is less physical than us, and they took them to 7  I really wish they would have won, because we match up better with them, but we have to deal with what we got  What worries me is Svech trying to take out Bob, that is desperation, that's what you do when you feel like there is no legit options left, it's what I feared, Bob is still in our core groups head, and they are over thinking, over passing Hopefully that changes tonight
