One is on the verge having a breakout season while the other one fell out of his team's good graces.

One is 21 years old while the other is 23.

One can play every WR position and run clean routes while the other one has trouble lining up in his proper place.

One lives in the weight and film room while the other punches in late and leaves early.

One was a leader for his collegiate team, the other was dismissed for being a knucklehead and douchebag.

Those statistics mean jack squat in the long run.

Go play in traffic dude holy poo. This is quintessential poo posting of the highest order.

Gotta be careful with stats.

Stats I would tell you that Matt Stafford is a really good quarterback.

A solid understanding of football tells you otherwise.

A lot of talk about the Titan but something to keep in mind on the Eagles end--this means a guy many thought should've been our pick is not impressing in Agholor.  Didn't look ready (at all) last season and is in the same boat again this season.

The three guys that got overdrafted IMO were Agholor, Dorsett, and Perriman. NONE of these guys were first round talents, just got overdrafted for having good 40s" but oddly enough these are the  guys people wanted on this board.

I said it then and I'll say it now, I'd would rather have Stefon Diggs in the 4th/5th than any of those guys in the 1st and we're seeing how that's turning out.

Yep, each one has struggled immensely too.

Dorsett gets easily outmuscled by DBs at the LOS, Perriman is made of glass and can't catch and Agholor is having trouble adapting to NFL speed.

And yet there were people screaming that we should have drafted every one of those guys.

Some of the same crowd wasn't that high on Devin Funchess either.

Every time I watch any sports shows they always try to make Agholor sound like the best WR in the history of the NFL.

This has a very unique smell to it. You know for a fact Tennessee called multiple teams.......... And the best offer was a backup OLman!?!?!?! Dgb must be getting a suspension in the coming days, its the only reason for this. Him being lazy, dumb, or fat isn't enough. You can fine a player if he's those issues, then they either shape up or get poor. Just to add- one of panthers scout leftd after the draft to became head of scouting. He may have played a role in this.

I will state- no question wanted him over funchess, I'm still not buying allllllll funchs' hype either. When the real season starts, we'll see how much he improved.

Idk one of these people trolls internet message boards and the other is a multimillionaire.......I'm not one to jump to conclusions, but I'm jumping to conclusions.

But for how long? Is he boxer rich or Tom Brady rich?

    • In my opinion Fitterer was probably right about not paying McCaffrey. Now not wanting to "pay RBs" in my opinion isn't something you want to set in stone, to me it all comes down to the individual.
    • Maybe I'm just not understanding, but everywhere that I have read says that signing bonuses go against the cap prorated by as much as five years. The following example uses Andrew Luck's rookie contract as an example. "Take Andrew Luck, the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. Luck signed a four-year contract with the Colts worth $22.1 million and included a $14.5 million signing bonus. Rather than a $14.5 million cap hit in 2012, the Colts spread out his signing bonus over the life of his contract. The hit against the cap would be $3.625 million per year over four years instead of a direct cap hit of $14.5 million directly in 2012. This gave the Colts more leverage and cap flexibility in signing other players." https://www.the33rdteam.com/nfl-signing-bonuses-explained/ I don't know why some of you think that signing bonuses aren't counted against the cap over the length of the contract, but whatever.   "The bonus with a signing is usually the most garish aspect of a rookie contract. Bonus is the immediate cash players receive when they ink a deal. It factors into the cap, but only for the whole contract duration, in terms of salary cap calculations. In the case of Bryce Young’s $24.6 million signing bonus, that’s prorated to approximately $6.15 million per season over a four-year deal. This format allows teams to handle the cap and provides rookies with some short-term fiscal stability, which is important given the high injury risk in this league." https://collegefootballnetwork.com/how-rookie-contracts-work-in-the-nfl/ I understand how signing bonuses can be a useful tool in order to manage the cap, and as one of the article suggests, signing bonuses may become important if you have a tight cap, but the bill is always going to come due. I'm not necessarily referring to you Tuka, but it seems to me that others simply don't want to understand that fact which is why they're reacting to what I'm saying negatively. How odd. In any event, I have a better general understanding of why signing bonuses are used now, and it's generally to fit salaries under the cap. Surely players, whether they be rookies or not, love a signing bonus because they get a good portion of their money up front. This in turn gives them more security and probably amounts to tax benefits as well. I also understand why teams would not want to use signing bonuses, particularly for players or draftees who have a higher probability of being gone before a contract even ends.
