When are you all going to stop blaming the effing coaches???

Coaches = Captain of the ship, so while it may not be their fault they are responsible for this 0-2 start.

My two biggest criticisms are that this coaching staff is too slow to adjust and too set in their ways. I understand the Fox/Meeks cover 2 philosophy BUT IT'S NOT WORKING. When you've reached halftime and you're getting no pressure on a QB who is carving you up, it's time to call some blitzes. The irony is that defensive coordinators are often selected to be HC's because of their ability to adjust.

Won't matter if Jerry Richardson does.

If he doesn't, let's be honest. Fox won't be out of a job long.

i used to feel that way but recent coach hiring trends aren't exactly working in his favor.

teams are avoiding older coaches, especially when they don't exactly have a reputation of winning much or able to win the big one. if he hits the market it is most likely going to be that holmgren and cowher are going to be in much higher demand. i would even say billings would be a better hire. schotty and shanny have given more reason to be hired than fox as well. the bulk of the hirings, though, are going to be just like most other teams have done lately.... going young and/or new. teams don't want HCs that are "damaged" goods.

fox will have a job but the best he can realistically hope for, imo, is a DC position.

Fox seems like a guy who can keep his team in the middle of the pack.. I'm expecting a horrible team would pick him up, but do not expect them to be an elite team after he raises them up...

With that said, I'm not too worried to see him picked up right away for fear of us losing something valuable.. Seems human nature to feel this way, considering we always expect a player to break out once we let him go.. (*ahem* Colbert/Carter)

This will be the last year that John Fox is a head coach in this league. He'll find a spot as someone's defensive coordinator, but no team is going to want to start over with a 55-year-old coach that's known best for his mediocrity. Besides, the only other team with a coach on the hot seat right now is Jacksonville. I don't see Weaver replacing Del Rio with John Fox, although the humor value in seeing Del Rio screwed over like that would be hilarious.

When your best defensive player we have ever had refuses to sign a contract that will make him one the highest (if not the highest) paid players in the league because the Fox scheme will not let him live up to his full potential. At some point, you gotta start scratching your head and say WTF is going on?

The bottom line is JP turned down a gazillion dollars so he would not have to play under Fox anymore. Of course we franchised his ass and he had no choice this season. I have never heard of a player doing that before. Remember this is coming from one of the most quiet and reserved/private players in the NFL so you have to be REALLY unhappy to turn down that kind of long term security.

Kris Jenkins also said he had enough of Fox and the team had no heart. Now he is gone and looking pretty good in NY.

Who is responsible for this? When the team looks lost and plays flat - who should be responsible? The players or the people that brought the players here? The people that develop the scheme? Remember we offered Turgo the opportunity to come back as DC but he chose to take a demotion instead of coming back. Can somebody explain how that is a good career move? Face it - he wanted out.

This staff is dysfunctional starting with Fox. Don't even get me started talking about the creative OC name Dan Henning now in Miami. He was a sleestack when he was with us. He leaves Fox and becomes a cutting edge innovator that the entire league is copying now. When I see Brown and Williams running the Wildcat in Miami, I can't help but think how Williams and Stewart would do in that type of role.

i honestly hope he does find a head coaching job on another team.

that way if they are minus a QB on his new team he will almost certainly offer up a draft pick for Delhomme. Might be a good one too.

John Fox is a good coach, I really like what he does as a coach. So far, meeks defense looks weak, hopefully foxy will step up and take over. Davidson's offense looks good, Jake rebounded and will continue to make plays. If i blame anyone, its the big man upstairs lol.

We have been running John Fox's defense since the bye week last year, when he decided to take control from Trgo. The exact time the defense fell to a shat box.
