Webster believes he can stop Smith

top dawg

People, why keep saying there is nothing in there? Read between the lines. You know that Smitty will:

Jake Delhomme connected with Smith on a 6-yard pass in the second quarter of the game at Giants Stadium, and Webster ripped the ball out of the hands of the Panthers receiver and returned it 11 yards.

“I remember that,” Webster said with a smile.

When asked what Smith thought of the play, Webster smiled again. “You’ll have to ask him.”

If I was a coach, you don't think that I'd mention this to Smith? Not that Smitty needs motivation, but this can be likened to a challenge.

    • Season is a bust if we are not at least in the conversation of winning the division......Other than Bills, Packers and Bucs I honestly don't see a team that should blatantly beat us. Our defense on paper is better, maturation of some young guys as well as possibly having a better Offense playing complimentary football instead of just being on the field constantly. I just want to see a competitive team again, WE NOT ASKING FOR MUCH!
    • While losing Stolarz hurt for them, I don't think that is the reason they are losing the series. They were thoroughly outplayed in games 4 and 5 and played prevent offense when they got the early lead in game 3. Hell, the only reason they didn't lose like 5-0 game 4 was because of Woll. Once again, Matthews and co. pulled a disappearing act in the playoffs. Dude is the Hellebuyck of the Eastern conference
