we have the 4th ranked offense this season

we got the 4th ranked offense in the nfl in almost top 10 in every category.      But on defense we got got the 22nd ranked defense and second to last when it comes to giving up points per game .

if our defense was better no doubt we would be a contender because statistically our offense is better in everything other than rushing yards and points per game .

It's not the offense fault even though they could be better at the offensive tackle positions. It's our defensive secondary, probably the worst I have ever seen for a NFL team. And management should have known better than to "roll some f*cking dice" with that entire unit. Dave Gettleman should be hiding in his office until next season behind this shitfest.

Playing the saints, niners, and the Falcons when they were in prevent defense skews these numbers heavily.

49ers weren't in prevent.  Saints weren't either for the most part.

We also played the 2 best defenses in the NFL....which holds down our numbers to a degree vs the norm

More like 2012 Panthers. I think 2011 we were better than 2012, record was one less win but I just think we were better.

Hmmm.... think our O is much better than 2012.  We were dysfunctional on O for the first half of the season then

if you look at the 2012 panthers we have the same win/losses both lost week 1 won week 2 and just fell from there im expecting the same thing to happen

Well if Gano makes the Denver  kick we 2-4 and take back a handlful of stupid plays, keep Bene for the Saints instead of Sanchez, teddy Williams, and the battle of the stupid in Tampa and of course we are 4-2. Minni couldn't easily have been different too.

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
