Belichick  (greatness)

The Chicago Bears traded tight end Martellus Bennett to the New England Patriots for a fourth-round draft pick, the teams announced Thursday.

The Bears also traded their sixth-round pick (No. 204 overall) to New England in the trade. The fourth-rounder Chicago received in the deal is No. 127 overall.

Gettleman (average)

Carolina acquired veteran Andy Leeicon-article-link.gif in a trade with the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a fourth-round draft choice in 2018 and punter Kasey Redfern. The Panthers also received a 2017 seventh-round pick from the Browns.

Lee is a good pick up but not the level of impact Bennett is having.

Dave Gettleman is JAG that can be replaced.

Had a bad start. He definitely fuged up. Learn from his mistakes. Even Bill was fired, granted it was in clevland.

No doubt gettleman fuged up and owrhaps he got a big head and it popped. Let him learn from this.

3x nfcsouth champ

1x NFC champ

15-1 record

you cannot deny he played a part in that, and the season is not over

ehhh. the andy lee trade was smart. it fulfilled a position of great need.

incidentally it also showed he's willing to make trades for positions of great need, which means our corner situation was more misjudgment than cheapassishness. which would be a great collective realization for this board.

I think the misjudgment was of our front 4, though. I think he knew there would be a learning curve with the rookies but that our front 4 would provide more pressure. His game plan for the corners was stock up, get them reps and get them ready for a career here (you know, until one of them is really good and we let them walk). So really, we were counting on Ealy, Johnson, and Boston to deliver and not one of them has, leaving our corners vulnerable.

Maybe I'm alone but Andy Lee has been well worth the pick. It would have an even better impact if our defense didn't suck. Imagine offenses trying to drive on our '13 or '15 defenses while consistently starting within the 10-15 yard line.

I bet once Brady retires belichik will stick around for one more year to prove that Brady never once made him what he is today. Then slide into that GM role in NE and make all the big decisions, while they get some scapegoat for a head coach that doesn't know half of what he does. Kraft won't let him walk that easily.
