Brah, that rookie DT outplayed that vet DT looking for a massive payday for a good portion of the season but you know... don't let me get in your way. Go on with your Gettleman bashing.

Short had 6 sacks 53 tackles and 25 assists. Butler had 13 tackles 5 assists and 1.5 sacks. Short was all pro last year before getting doublet eased all this year. Yep, don't let stats cloud a sorry opinion.

Wow! Yes, that sure shut up me up... despite Butler was getting more penetration and pressures than Short in the first half of the season. KK is demanding Cox money and finally showed up when we were under .500. Not good enough.

You sound like the rest of the dumbasses in here when they supported Benjamin for stat padding in the final 4 minutes of the game.

No, I'll just take a guy who has proven he is a top 5 DT over a guy who played part of the year. If we drafted and made personnel decisions like NE then let him walk. But we don't and we need him. At some point you can't let folks keep walking. Our example is what our moron GM did which lead us to one of the two worst defenses against the pass this year. Keep drinking the Gettleman koolaid and keep watching us picking in the top 10 each year.

Another thing that I've noticed about Fournette in his college career is that he tends to be injury prone.  Two of his three years, he missed about half the season for various knocks and injuries.

Sounds a lot like the complaints that Carolina fans have had about our current running back.

If I remember correctly.  AP was touted injury prone before he was drafted.

The Panthers issues are with their 3rd down offense and 3rd down defense.

How does Fournette help us with either?

Not to mention Stewart has a couple more seasons, and the Panthers can angle for Bo Scarbrough. My future backfield would be JStew, Bo Scarbrough and Christian McCaffrey in 2018. For right now Stewart and McCaffrey will be good.

All the offense needs in 2017 is a home run threat for a 3rd down RB who can catch, a slot receiver with reliable hands, and better OTs.

The defense needs the bulk of the work.

He's only been a Top 5 DT for one season lol

Short was a solid player the year before and maybe a Top 10 this season. Once again, KK was outplayed by a 21 yr old rookie for a portion of the season. I don't know how you justify that underwhelming performance.

Get over it. Gettleman made another great pick. Butler like Shaq are future starters for our defense.

We will just have to disagree.  Short was double teamed most of the year due to having garbage DEs.  Due that that, Short had to play DE on some of the passing downs.  I like Butler for depth, but I don't see him as anything more.

You're tripping if you think the panthers will draft McAffrey with their top 10 first rounder . Maybe if he somehow gets passed  by the playoff teams near the end of the 1st and by some miracle doesn't get drafted in top 5 of round 2, then maybe he'd be picked up with our 2nd rounder. Or if we traded down .

Running backs aren't worthy of being top 5 selections anymore.

Not fournette, not anyone. Elliiot is working out because of the dallas line. Not because he was worthy. Our line isn't really anything decent. So fournette here will be about like Gurley.

It doesn't really matter. Gettleman ain't taking him anyways. He will take a defensive lineman like the squid he is.
