Sad news-update

Vanderbilt is a great place.  As it turns out, the problem was the docs who had put in stents twice to keep his bile duct open.  Apparently they just do not have enough experience with it.  My sister said it is amazing the attention and treatment Danny has been getting at Vandy. Docs in the room all the time.  They replaced the stent with a better one and after they clear up the infection he got from the last one...he should be good to keep his focus on his cancer treatment.  I am sending him a Keep Pounding bracelet. This guy has been through hell for the last 6 weeks.

Very sorry to hear and hope he does well. Even for people who have infinite money  (Steve Jobs) for the best possible care, pancreatic cancer is aggressive and fast. They have some preliminary biomarkers coming out to hopefully identify it earlier. Vanderbilt is a great institution

Steve Jobs did not do the recommended treatment.  Went alternative.  But, it does take a lot of people, despite wealth or fame.  Early detection is the only chance but that is before symptoms.  Tough problem.
