Would Mike Williams be wasted in Carolina?

So let's say the Panthers draft Mike Williams. Would he improve the Panthers offense all that much?

If yiu believe the Panthers lack receiver talent, I suspect you do think he would improve things.

If you suspect the scheme and coaching are lacking, I suspect you don't think so.

Which side are you on?

Physically, he doesn't provide anything that we don't already have between Benji and Funchess. Honestly I don't even care what 40 time he runs in a couple months; when I watch Williams, I don't see the explosion vertically that is needed to be a top 10 guy.

Potentially he might provide more consistency, but you can't be sure of that with any rookie.

Our receivers are not the problem with this team. Scheme, along with consistent line play are the issue. Williams is a wasted pick unless Benji is moved for a tackle...and trades rarely happen like that.

Waste. This is cart before horse type of poo. Cam can't pass the ball to Williams if he has been driven so deeply into the ground that they need fuging radar to find his body. Fix the O-line. You know...so the franchise qb it took almost 2 decades to find doesn't die.

Would be one of the most disappointing moments in franchise history.  Sucking does have it's perks.  Netted Cam.  Netted Luke.  But this was a Super Bowl or bust season.  We recently took Benjamin and Funchess high.  There are better players at multiple positions of greater need.  This guy is not Julio Jones or AJ Green.  It would be a knife twister for me and beg the question of who or what our identity is as a franchise.  HELL no to a WR at 8.

KB should already be playing like Mike Williams. However, I do believe his injury set him back and it may take this offseason to be back on track. Also, I have not seen enough of the right type of plays to maximize his advantages. Where's the back shoulder throws? Where's the lobs to the corner where KB can outreach his defender for a TD?

Basically, drafting Williams gives us yet another receiver that relies more on size when we need separation.

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
    • Proper stud that would look even better if they could upgrade Scott. And get a resemblance of pressure on the QB
