Senior Bowl

I'm really intrigued by Pumphrey and Zay Jones! They both would add speed and big play ability to our backfield and slot positions respectfully!!

OT has a couple of guys that have good measurables: Davenport and the Temple OT are 2 guys that would be developmental tackles we should look at.

Odds and ends from yesterday

I have been on the Tanoh train for a while, the DE from Villanova. I have a gut feeling he is going to be good.

Have the DL Nascar package:

Extreme speed on the outside and tall mofos in the inside to control and bat balls down.

SuperMario  - Butler- Tanoh - KK

Two of my favorites for the slot and nickel have looked good.  Below is part of the Day 2 Riser write up. Source: http://draftanalyst.com/

Taywan Taylor/WR/Western Kentucky: Taylor was good on Tuesday but really stood out on Wednesday. He’s extremely smooth running routes and transitioning from catch to YAC and shows great focus and concentration at the catch point. His long arms and reach allow him to stay on his feet making catches both above his head and below his knees, and Taylor does a nice job fighting through contact and making contested catches.

Damontae Kazee/DB/San Diego State: Kazee isn’t big (5-10, 183) but he was strong in press coverage against Josh Reynolds (6-3, 187) and Fred Ross (6-1, 203) on Wednesday. He stays tight in coverage with receivers down the field and shows nice recovery speed to make up ground on opponents when they do separate. Kazee has very smooth ball skills as well and displayed playmaking ability in the secondary.

I saw good write ups for some other players mentioned in this thread (Zay Jones, Tarrell Basham, Deashon Hall, Jamaal Williams and Michael Roberts to name a few).

Not trying to steal all of David Newton's thunder, but here are some of the guys he thinks we'll be interested in. Click the link at the bottom for the others.

"Running back Jamaal Williams, BYU: He might get lost in a deep class of running backs on draft day, but in this game he has a chance to showcase his abilities. At 6-2 and 220 pounds, BYU’s all-time leading rusher appears to be the complete package as a runner, receiver and blocker. The latter is particularly important to the Panthers."

"Defensive end Keionta Davis, UT-Chattanooga: A small-school player with a big motor when it comes to pressuring the quarterback. At 6-4 and 270 pounds he has the size to be a 4-3 end, and his 10.5 sacks led the Southern Conference. He just needs to prove his worth against more big-time competition."

"Safety Nate Gerry, Nebraska: Built solid at 6-2, 220. That he was a two-time team captain might impress a Carolina staff looking for character players. He’s always around the ball, finishing first or second in tackles and interceptions for the Cornhuskers the past three seasons."

There are some guys worth watching, and like Newton said, this is definitely in G-man's wheelhouse.

Thanks for this Dawg--UT Chattanooga has a pretty good OT as well.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27
    • Your intelligence is artificial.
    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
