list of prospects we've met with: 2017

most of these guys I've never heard of, which is probably to be expected.  I have watched DE Rochelle listed as DT here) fall in most rankings since the season got underway, but he was well thought of going into the season, and his size fits us.  Banner is interesting because he's 6 feet freaking 9 inches tall, which I don't think has ever been done before at the OT position.  But he's a hog molly for sure.

Elijah McGuire is very interesting because of his size at RB.  And after drafting 3 CBs last year, we're still looking (as we should be)

 Carolina Panthers
Quincy Adeboyejo, WR, Ole Miss (EW)
Antony Auclair, TE, Laval (EW)
Zach Banner, OT, USC (SR)
Tarell Basham, DE, Ohio (SR)
Tyus Bowser, OLB, Houston (SR)
Ben Gedeon, ILB, Michigan (SR)
Nate Hairston, CB, Temple (EW)
Ashton Lampkin, CB, Oklahoma State (EW)
Gabe Marks, WR, Washington State (EW)
Elijah McGuire, RB, La.-Lafayette (EW)
Aarion Penton, CB, Missouri (EW)
Jalen Robinette, WR, Air Force (EW)
Isaac Rochell, DT, Notre Dame (SR)
Jamari Staples, WR, Louisville (SR)
Sam Tevi, OT, Utah (EW)

I don't care. If Adams and Fournette are gone by 8, it will be Reuben Foster.

Jabrill Peppers will be talk about once again after the combine. Kid is going to post monsterous numbers. Draft guys just don't want to talk about him anymore bc that's how it is every year. Gotta hype someone else up. Peppers is a top 15 talent.

Basham and Banner will be day 3 picks for sure. Basham is intriguing because his measurables look like a 3-4 guy, but his length and scouting profile definitely claims that he can play in a 4-3 DE. If he bulks up a little bit, could be a late round gem.

Banner is interesting because we need an OT and he comes from a pedigree school like USC. However, he looked pretty pedestrian at the Sr. Bowl practices, so he's pretty 'meh', IMO.

The Carolina Panthers plan to hold a private workout with University of Washington wide receiver John Ross, according to a league source.

Ross is one of the fastest receivers in the draft, although there are concerns about his size (5-11, 188) and health history. Ross has had surgeries on both knees, and will undergo shoulder surgery after the combine and his pro day.

David Newton ESPN Staff Writer

Washington wide receiver John Ross posted an unofficial combine time of 4.22 seconds in the 40-yard dash. That would be a combine record. Ross told The Charlotte Observer at the combine he has a private workout scheduled with the Panthers, who have the No. 8 overall pick. Speed and the ability to play the slot could make him attractive there.

Ross would plug right into Ginn's previous role and absolutely kill it!! Already plays drawn up for him in the playbook playing to his strengths.

The rareness of his speed seems to be SERIOUSLY going under the radar. He's faster than Ginn ever was, and that floors me. Matched with his solid catching (noticed a lot of body catches though), playmaking, and being as quick and athletic as he is fast, I don't see how he falls to us, or how we pass on him if he does.

I know he had bad injuries on both knees, but, you just simply don't run a 4.22 and perform like he did at the combine, topping off a season of performing as a human highlight reel, unless your knees are in outstanding health. Not a concern imo. Size? Not a concern, he has speed nobody else ever has, and will be deadly when used correctly.

I was thinkin about Peppers earlier. Would not hate taking him if Fournette and Adams are gone
