Not being cut today anymore... now looking to be traded. Making roughly $10M per year which is right around top 10. I'd probably give a mid-round pick for him.

Apparently one team has made an offer.  Hmmm.  I doubt it's us.  Considering they're going to release him and there are multiple other options now I would certainly not give a mid-round pick.  Maybe a Jared Allen style deal-a 6th plus THEY bear the brunt of the salary-sure.

Right, but I was quoting someone about making a trade offer for him being tampering. He's not a FA (have to wait until early March to talk) and isn't released. I'm thinking trade offers can be made at any point, but I was wondering if there was a trade date since the trade deadline for 2016 passed in season.

Got it. I think there was a 3 way miscommunication there. I assumed the original question was assuming that the release had been made. If so we could negotiate with him. If they were dismissing trade offers then we can still make trade offers now right?

LOL I wouldn't accept a mid round pick to take on his salary. Was a great player who has faded every year recently and can't stay healthy. Not worth even half of that to me. Take a 1 year flyer for a couple million, sure, but wouldn't give up anything for him unless it came with a huge pay cut. And it seems the only real interest in a possible trade his been the Jaguars who would give Julius Thomas who they were going to cut anyways to reunite with Gase. I still bet he ends up getting cut.

    • I feel that I'm Bryce neutral and it's definitely both sides.  Threads absolutely get made when he plays bad (rightfully so) and when he plays good.  He is the most controversial player on our team at the most critical position.  Of course threads are going to be made about him after each performance good or bad. I think it depends on what side of the aisle you are own.  You clearly aren't a fan of his so it appears like you are getting spammed with counter threads when he plays well.  Some of the Bryce fans feel the exact opposite I am sure.  It's sports and as fans our opinions will vary.
    • Here's the text from Pelissero's piece... Panthers DC Ejiro Evero, 44: A former college safety at UC Davis who went to training camp with the Raiders, Evero has coached all three phases -- offense, defense and special teams -- and was well-regarded at each stop during his previous 17 NFL seasons, working under everyone from Vic Fangio to Dom Capers. He won a Super Bowl with the Rams and then got his first DC job in 2022 with the Broncos, whose defense was a bright spot in a frustrating season. Same with the Panthers' defense in 2023, before injuries decimated the unit last season. Evero's defense has improved this season (13th in scoring) on a Carolina team in the playoff hunt. He interviewed for eight head coaching jobs in the hiring cycles after the 2022 and 2023 seasons, earning second interviews with the Colts, Falcons, Panthers, Seahawks and Texans, and could be in the mix again. 2026 NFL head coach hiring cycle: 24 young candidates to know if you want another kick in the head, click the link and check out the first two names he mentions.
