watching people set aside the enlightenment they attain during the season come offseason time for "everything is perfect as is, we just need continuity" is such a torturous cycle.

Like overating players after the underwear olympics..

Perfect exercise here..

I willing to admit my problem with the "elite talent" title is a difference in definition..

My definition is Randy Moss..

And I take every prospect and check how many Randy Moss prospects boxes they can check..

So sorry my bad for a different definition of elite, generalrational talent...

Yeah nothing i see.. You don't have a clue.. You couldn't even look up his numbers and pretend you might know something..hahahaha..

I'm surprised no other real panthers fan hasn't jumped on you for thinking Djax was better than Moose Muhummad.. That along shows me you haven't been a panthers fan for long...

Been down since folks were worried about the name of the team homie. I'm a loyalists but not a blind one.

Moose is a cot damn Panther legend and I'll never forget 04' but he only had a little under 12,000 total yards in his 14 year career. D Jax is already at over 9k in 9 years, with 5 1k seasons in those 9. I respect your opinion though man and I may have jumped the gun calling Ross elite but I stand firm.

Right.

I'd say Megatron and Julio would be on that list too. Ross honestly checked some of the boxes, but size and height, sadly no.

If it was a tier system, Megatron, Julio, Moss likely is the generational tier in the last 20 years. Guys like Dez, Green, Nuke, Watkins,  are elite, but not the same tier.

Ross is close to that elite tier to me. He isn't lengthy enough to really get into that top level. Its fast agile strong monsters. Ross isnt everything, but great athlete, good hands and routes runner. Add in the injuries, he is a risk at 8. He is tier 2.

All that said......... he could be the missing skilled position that takes this offense from good to surpass 2015 levels. His hands are worlds better than Ginn. Add a legit burner (from the outside or slot roll) to a healthier hopefully 2015 level or better (FA) line and I would not dismiss Ross as a reach. Definite risk. He is a faster Cooks whom reports go was higher on our board than supersized KB. So DG could go this route.

Its not who I would target at 8. i think its wide open: honestly evaluate Allen, Hooker, Adam, Thomas, Barnett, Lattimore (personally not a fan), Fournette, as needs pick from best that's left. If Hooker is the boarder line generational talent as others  we can go that as we are currently constructed even if safety doesn't generally impact the D like the other positions. Guys like SeanTaylor and heathy Edd Reid both were worth an 8. If Hooker (or Adams) are that big a game changer in coverage and as a blitz guy, go for it.

But Ross isn't that generational tier that Hooker has said to be (nota believer yet on that hype)

He's an interesting case. This isn't your "small-school DB who's really more of a track athlete than an NFL player coming in and running fast and getting his fifteen minutes at the combine before fading into obscurity." Ross was a first round lock, the consensus third receiver, prior to the combine. He was never gonna be there at 40.

We always knew he was fast, but maybe not all-time fast. Yeah, yeah underwear olympics; but it's a measuring stick, and he's faster than everyone else. That's probably worth a slight bump from the 20s to the teens.

Maybe 8 is a bit rich, and I'm not one to pine for trading down, but he's exactly what this offense needs. Well, one of the things it needs. Fournette, Howard, and Ross are all very interesting options for us, even if they may be a slight "reach" (I hate that term). Feels like we're set up to get a very good offensive playmaker in the first, and then a first round caliber DE in the 2nd and maybe even 3rd round.

Stats can skew things..

Reality is Moose was a better Wr all around..

Better hands, was a possesion and a deep threat WR, way better blocker for the running game, and ran way more routes.. Remmeber Moose had no fear going over the middle .. Djax refuses to do it...

Moose was definitely one of the most fearless WR's over the middle the game has ever seen. Here's to hoping Cam receives a wealth of weapons over the next few weeks. That I'm sure we both can agree on! #KeepPounding

5' 11" with a 37" Vert = slot receiver?.....it'd help if you morons actually watch football. Good sport that.

Not at 8 though....also...injury history....TD....so stfu you know you have no clue wtf you're talking about so spare us.

I remember when most of you wanted fugin Marquise Lee...LULZ...keep tryin.

Edit: Also the same people spouting injury want Arthritis Shoulder Man at 8 lol...can't make this up.

Edit2: Remind yourselves if Smitty was only a slot WR @ 5' 9" with 38.5 vert.

Edit3: Remind your dumb selves if @ 5' 11" our Tedd Ginn is in the slot most of the time.
