Latavius Murray to visit the Jags tomorrow

Good and bad news. Confirms they are in the market for another running back.

Like Fournette Murray has the size Coughlin likes in his backs. 6'3 225.

3 year vet. Scored 12 TD's and averaged 4 ypc last year in 14 games. Had over 1000 yards year before with only 6 TD's in 16 games.

I'm starting to ponder if we should make a run at the guy. Only 27 years old and only 3 years of NFL wear and tear. Provides a future replacement to Stewart and insurance if Fournette is gone.

This is good and bad in terms of our chances of getting Fournette. It can be good if the Jags sign him cuz that would presumably take them out of the market of drafting a RB with that 4th pick (but who really knows its the jags), bad in if that they don't sign him, we now know they are in the market for a RB, increasing their chances of drafting Fournette.

I still don't think they are drafting Fournette.

I think they are drafting a QB. You heard it hear first. They came out of nowhere to draft Bortles, wouldn't be surprised if they shocked everyone with a QB.

Nah this is Bortles last season if he sucks again. They want to get a guy like Leonard to take some pressure off Bortles. On paper they have everything you want.

If/when they suck again, if it's because of QB play they'll draft their guy early next year

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
