It's the Eagles I think we need to be worried about the most.

McCaffery would top of one hell of an offseason for them offense wise. They'll have done more in one offseason for Wentz than Carolina has done for Cam since he got here.

When it's all said and done, Carolina will be known to have wasted one of the most talented QBs to come into the league. It's a joke how we've tried to protect him and give him weapons.

It's def not the Panthers as this would do nothing to ensure LF. This is a team trying to get in front of the Jets for a QB no doubt about it.

If Fournette's there at 5 (if Jags pass up and no team trades up higher than 5 for him) it would ensure him and could actually be necessary as there have been quite a bit of talks of teams moving up ahead of us for Fournette.

So the question is, what will you do when we don't take McCaffrey?

Trade them #8, #40, and #64 for #5, #18, and Boston (if needed to sweeten the pot).  DG gets his 2 first round caliber instant impact players.  At pick #5 and #18 you can go multiple ways.  Now with these trade scenario in mind I would say that LF is still on the board is why we would pull the trigger.  I just think staying at 8 and waiting for LF to fall is unlikely with other teams possibly trading up ahead of us with sources saying 49ers, Bears, Jets, and now Titans want out of top 10.

So, with this scenario I would say go Fournette at 5 and either Njoku or Cam Robinson at #18.  Pairing Fournette with either another weapon for Cam or LF and a "hawg mollie"

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
