No one is comparing anything. Reading comprehension would help. Flip simply stated that a terrible pie count is a good indicator of the quality of posts someone makes. Which is true

It is not. You can make tons of little comments without getting pie. Logic would help. Making comments in gameday threads can shoot your post count way up without getting pie for it.

Your pie to post ratio is the worst I've seen on this board, except for that guy who still somehow has negative pie.

And before you talk about "I don't care about pie on an internet message board, blah blah blah" ... it's still a pretty good indicator of the quality of your posts when you get to a certain post threshold.

being right is a lonely business...so yeah blah blah blah I really don't care...if the goal was pie you maybe right...

Can't imagine he is anything but camp fodder

Or Practice Squad fodder, perhaps more accurately.  I'm not sure Delaire is practice-squad eligible any more?  If not, we don't really have any DEs who are PS candidates.  Oh yes, Bryan Cox UDFA would fit this category too...

I expect we'll be bringing in a number of young DEs to see if there are promising candidates to develop for the future.

Are we really comparing pie to post ratio now? L-M-M'F-A-OOOOOOO

It's not the only indicator of a decent poster but it is an indicator.

"Money doesn't buy happiness" -- poor people

"Looks aren't important, it's what's on the inside that counts" -- ugly people

"Pie doesn't matter" -- poo posters

    • Does it matter if he goes somewhere else and is good? He his not getting it done here and really thats what I care about.  I dont care about Darnold or CMC or Burns or Baker   Make this team better or GTFO
    • The problem when you draft a guy like Bryce the way you draft him with the trade up and assets spent is you cant afford for him to sit 2-3 years and develop. He has to be that guy now. We gave up too much for him to be what he is right now, and while that may not be fair, it is what it is. If we had stayed at 9 and drafted him there and he is this level of QB, we're out a 1st and while it stings, it's not crippling. But that's not what we did and it was crippling, not to mention, he wasn't even the QB our HC wanted. He didn't even fit Reich's system which hurt him even further.  But now its year 3 and QB contracts are obscene. We're at the point we have to decide if he's worth what he's going to be asking. Based on performance, are you paying a 5 year, 200 million contract with 140 guaranteed? I sure as hell hope not. Bryce needs to be able to elevate the guys around him and he's not doing that. His physical limitations are clear, his field vision is spotty, his decision making is questionable and his ability to hold under pressure. Well, we saw that Sunday.  Maybe he's good somewhere else, but where we find ourselves right now, staring down the barrel of year 3 with a 5th year option or contract extension on the horizon, we don't have the luxury to wait another season and hope. If he doesn't get it together in a big damn hurry he needs to be out the door.
