Agree with the posts above. What offseason has he had where he wasn't ready or didn't do well? From all I remember hearing, his 2nd offseason he looked phenomenal before the ACL tear and even last year he was getting rave reviews. The problem last year IMHO had more to do with coming back too quick, which Proehl even said after the year that he was warned by the strength coach. Look at the start he had to 2016. I don't remember anyone saying he was out of shape, we heard more that he's a beast.

Well he did cause a timeout cause he was gassed so I wouldn't say he was in shape early last year. But I think he will be fine and surprise everyone this year.

It's sad that our own fans have to go to such lengths to tear down their own players. To the point that players like CJ have to call out the fanbase to stop being asshats because Cam Newton rapped and smoked a cigar on his birthday.

No doubt.  Basically 2000 yards in 2 seasons puts his body on the line across the middle.  He is a good peice to the offense.

BTW, does it annoy anyone else that they don't label the pics in their galleries at Panthers.com? How are we supposed to be able to tell who some of those lesser known players are without even being able to see the numbers half the time? It's not like we hang out with them and know what they look like without helmets.

OK, that's my one little rant for the day.

I'll start believing it when he doesn't need to lose weight before OTAs and Training Camp. It seems like every off season he "gets it".

On a roll recently homie

keep it up

proud of you

    • I’ve said it in the past that this team has found brief runs of success this season off of a player or few that decides to turn God mode on for the day. Yesterday Chuba looked like the stud many forgot he was last season. Mike Jack ball hawked a pick 6 to the house? WTF? Derrick m-fin Brown.  Does anyone remember the last time a Panthers lineman closed out a big game? That play was classic Jenkins.  Coker is a stud (we are VERY fortunate to have him). Tet is a stud. Brown is a stud. Rico is a stud. Ickey is a stud. The O line continues to play much better than they rightfully should be. The depth players by and large have been refreshingly competent.  If they would have just played Panthers brand football all season they would probably have 9 wins but it is what it is. I think Bryce is far more comfortable in the game manager role, which for now is ‘ok’… for now. A team that can run the ball at will and has an opportunistic defense is a tough out for anybody, home or away.
    • True. But that elevation gain is no joke on the lungs.
    • Take away Bryce's two 4th and short passes and the screen to Chuba and what are you left with on fhe passing game? See how it goes when you selectively eliminate the three best plays? We caught lightning in a bottle yesterday on both sides of the ball. The D was overall not good but had three great plays forcing turnovers taking one back for a TD. The offensive passing game overall was not good but had three big plays resulting in TDs.
