RB Christian McCaffrey's Run During Training Camp

Christian McCaffrey is on another world.

At first, I merely assumed Luke or TD could've lit him up had this been a contact drill. However, the closer I look at this footage, the more it reminds me of the way he juked LBs in college like they were nothing.

Those little quick cuts, how fast he drops his weight and just bursts through holes and cuts right through traffic. I can't wait to see him go hard this year.

he would have got lit up by luke and TD. they were right in the gap coming down for him with speed.

i thought maybe if peppers dove at his legs he probably could have gotten a shoe string tackle, but either way, love the fluidity and elusiveness shown by CmC so far.

People keep saying that Luke would have blown him up on that play, but I'm not so sure. That was a nice little move he made.

I think what's so cool about that clip is how much Luke is on a different level than the other LB's.  Luke is sprinting to where he knows the play is going, like he was in the huddle.  TD and Shaq are playing much more reactionary as they are digesting the play as it unfolds.  Not going to speculate on if they would have made the tackle or not, given there are no pads and even real blocking, but Luke analyzing a play is just down right amazing.

The icing on the cake is that he'll be able to practice these moves the best lb tandem In the NFL. Making him more game ready to pull these moves off other defenses. Can't wait to see him in action in a live game.
