Okay seriously we need a new backup:

Christian Ponder?  He'd have a month at least.  Waiting on the scrap heap for God knows who, leaving no time would be almost as disastrous.

Umm, DA is the back up QB, not the starter. We can't realistically expect him to be out there lighting it up in training camp. He's going to miss a fair number of passes out there, some the receiver's fault, some the defense's and a fair number of them his own. That's what you get from a back up QB on a team that doesn't have a QB controversy.

DA provides us with a guy who knows the whole playbook and understands the game. He helped Cam come along and I think the two have a good relationship helped out by the fact that DA isn't gunning for a starting job. He's got good eyes for the game and that's a help to have on the sidelines. And should Cam go down, DA gives the team about a 50/50 chance at a win which is better than most backup QBs in the league.

Kurt Coleman: "Byrd is a guy that can succeed. And people overlook Bersin, but he's one of the best route runners on the team."

Kurt on Greg: I call him AKA 1K. He's going to get 1000 yards every year

Kurt Coleman hasn't seen much of Deshaun Watson, except ... "I saw what he did to my Buckeyes."

Cole Luke answering questions now. Says he thinks the coaches want him to play all around: safety, corner, nickel, whatever.

"Now there's a little bit of a border line between 'Coach' and 'Cotch'." Damiere Byrd with the quote of the day on Jerricho Cotchery.

Says what stands out to the coaches when they're evaluating is consistency.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27
    • Your intelligence is artificial.
    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
