If I was GM I would see if Butker can do the job and if he can prove himself in the preseason we should keep him and trade Gano to a team who is in desperate need of a kicker because of injury. Maybe Tampa bay ?

 

 

trade Gano, get a late round pick and save a lot of money while developing a young kicker for the future.

I mean you don't know that with any kicker when they first come into the league. They have to be given the chance in those situations

Even great, cheap, rookie kickers don't get taken until day 3.  Gano has zero trade value.

You think so? I believe we could get a 7th rounder for him if a team is in desperate need of a kicker. 

 

Just 2 seasons ago steelers and jags traded for an okay kicker and got a 6th rounder. I believe Gano is bettter than Scobee http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/13550140/jacksonville-jaguars-trade-kicker-josh-scobee-pittsburgh-steelers

Yes we did, traded for a great one though, and many didn't like it.  Gano is trash on a football field.
