Obviously I would want an extension. Im sick of this rotating door at SS. Its time to invest and giving up a 3rd rounder in 2019 for a pro bowler who could be here for the next 3-5 seasons would be worth it.

general rule of thumb is a round per year, so a 2018 5th would be valued about the same as a 2019 4th.

Shopping and receiving calls and offers about him are two different things... but this is intriguing, would be a HUGE upgrade over Mike Adams. He's 30 and expensive, but I'm still not sure why the Broncos are considering moving him and that makes me a little nervous.

From what I'm gathering they really like Justin Simmons.

Then there's the whole last year of his deal thing. So rather get something from him than nothing at all.
