He is worth it unless you want Kasay kicking off to the 15 every time. The guy is still a superior FG kicker but he is a below average kickoff specialist.

If Lloyd was here in 2003 we might have a Lombardi right now.

Who on the active roster that does not currently dress for games would you rather have in there? Honestly. It's not like we're forcing to pick between dressing Lloyd and dressing Ed Reed.

I love John Kasay.

I hate saying what I'm going to say.

But this is a business, his inabilty to do kick-offs and fields goals costs a roster spot.

Other teams have kickers who do both, we had two of them Shane Graham and Nedney, they were fill-ins here when John was hurt...we let them both go to keep John.

Its time to find one who does both and use the roster spot for depth.

Reality is Kasay isn't going anywhere...didn't he too, sign another contract.

Through three games 40% of his kickoffs were for touchbacks which was something like 5th or 6th in the league. Considering our kickoff coverage is about dead last AND Kasay absolutely sucks at kickoffs Lloyd is well worth the spot.

The only memory I'll have of Kasey is kicking the ball out of bounds in the Super Bowl. One of the biggest choke jobs I've ever seen.
