a few things you may not have noticed.

I'm sure most of you have heard that Cam is now our leader all time in wins, and Stew is now our all time rushing leader.

A few other things.

In our 3 and 1 start, we've won on West Coast, never easy to go across the country like that, and in New England.  We have 2 road wins in first four games, and that's important, because yesterday started a 5 game stretch that includes 4 road games.  Coming out of that with a 3-2 record  would be nice.  To win on the road in Detroit will be a big confidence booster.  They are 3-1, went to the playoffs last year, and despite their opponents so far this year, should be taken seriously.   But I have a much better feeling about this week than last week thinking about going to NE.

Our division is the only one that doesn't have a team with a losing record.  The only division in the NFL with no losing teams.  Any division game can be a loss.  New Orleans was a surprise, but with Brees, not a huge surprise.  If we can beat the Lions and the Eagles, and hold our own in the division, we'll be in good shape.  We still have the Dolphins and the Jets on the schedule, but we have to get wins in our division, and that will be tough.

We are 3-1 without Olsen and Ryan....think about that.  Not to mention our incredible list of other injured players.  We get some of those guys back, the OL continues to gel, I'm feeling really good about the last half of the season.  RR teams have always started slow, and ball out in Nov., Dec. and January.... Ron is 19 - 7 in those months.  http://blackandbluereview.com/panthers-record-months-under-ron-rivera/   Early season wins are important, especially road wins in San Fran and New England.

TLDR:  We in a good spot right now, despite all the injuries and the mood after the loss last week.  We have a very good chance to get to the playoffs.

Detroit should be 4-0. The refs screwed them bad in that loss to Atlanta

I'm really torn on that. So many levels to this, lol.

Looking at all the replays from all angles, his knee was down, but there is no single video frame that shows knee down, contact and short of the goal line all at the same time. Since the ruling was a TD, there needs to be clear visual evidence to overturn. They aren't supposed to look at multiple angles and draw a single conclusion based on that. The burden of proof is all the elements being clearly visible from a single angle, and they weren't.

That being said, if he had simply been ruled short on the field, who knows what would have happened, but the opportunity for another play at least existed.

That run off was like watching the doctor about to perform a life saving procedure on your grandma, but at the last minute just pulling the plug instead.

Side note, Dean Blandickhole can suck an entire burlap sack full of donkey dongs.....

Just now, My Goodness My Guinness said:

Yeah but a positive is that Cox actually played pretty well yesterday. So did Seymour. Hopefully Cox and Coleman can get healthy though. Any word on the severity of their injuries?

Not that I've seen. I'm hoping to have at least one of them back this week

    • First, am I wrong? I looked back over all his posts here and I didn't see anything positive other than Shough. Second, pretty sure if you had read the post I was responding to, you would have seen CRA made poo personal as well . You just choose to address me instead of him. Not sure why?????
    • I wanted XL but I felt he should have been a 2nd rounder but I understand the logic trading up just to get the option. A safety net for your gamble.    Certainly disappointed with his receivers development but i like his down field blocking and I imagine that's what's keeping him on the field.
    • Pretty sure it is a given Young lacks typical QB size and strength and he is here simply because his other attributes more than make up for it. My point is not to indicate anyone "settled" for him but rather to remind people that there have been plenty of big, strong QB's that have not lived up to expectations. Jamis Winston, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, JaMarcus Russel are a few examples. They all have the physical attributes coveted by teams and yet none have had sustained success in the NFL. And yes, there are QBs that do have both but there aren't many and some of the ones still playing were failures with their early teams. Saying Young is a bust simply based upon his size (and I do think it is as simple as that for a few guys around here) is unfair to both him and the team.
