Deep threat WR on the trading block

He isn’t a choir boy...

but Martavis Bryant has requested a trade from the Steelers.  Unhappy with his role.

we have a good relationship with the Steelers, he has local ties (Clemson) and dude can defiantly take the top off a defense.

Issue of course....is the weed problem.

I’d say if the cost isn’t too high....he would be worth the gamble.  Dude is a freak.  But we all know it ain’t happening

Who do you demote though?  Unless we could trade Samuel straight up?

You don’t trade a promising rookie because he is behind.

Bryant, KB and Fun.....that would be a good threesome.   Shepard could go.

Why would we demote anyone? Currently have 4 wideouts on the roster. Can carry five, just cut one of the safeties.

Also why in the hell would we want to trade Samuel?? Give them a 5th or 6th rounder and call it a day.

If we get Martavius we get a WR1 that will contend with the WR1s in this division and be near unstoppable.

Bryant is not even close to any of the other top wideouts in our division. Not even a discussion. He's worse than KB and Funch to be honest.

He arguably goes deep better than anyone in the division...

all about fitting a role.

He's just as inconsistent as Ginn was here, if not more inconsistent. Not as fast either. Solid tracking skills and catch radius, yes. But not really a burner. Samuel is our deep threat. Give him time. Anything more than a 5th for Bryant would be retarded.

(AP) — It had been a while since the Carolina Hurricanes had finished practice, with players coming and going from the locker room. Yet Logan Stankoven was still on the ice, leaving a crowd of reporters patiently waiting at his locker. Such is the dynamic for the 23-year-old as the Eastern Conference's top seed heads into Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to face the Philadelphia Flyers. Stankoven has been rolling at nearly a point-per-game pace going back to mid-March, including scoring in every game of Carolina's first-round sweep of Ottawa. Beyond the immediacy of that spotlight, though, is the other piece of Stankoven's story: the Hurricanes are betting he can keep growing into the role as second-line center, coming after spending multiple seasons searching for an answer there.
