Rodgers needs surgery; season likely over

I thought he may need surgery considering this is the 2nd time he's broken it. First time he let it heal without surgery.

I've always enjoyed watching Rodgers play even if they're struggling and I have high respect for Coach McCarthy. Best wishes to Rodgers and the Packers when they're not playing in Charlotte.

I like Rodgers. Great QB and he scored bug points with me with his  "god must have been a Packers fan today " remark in response to R. Wilson's nonsense.  The article ESPN did on him at the start of the season was interesting. He seems like a thought filled guy. I hate his seasons over.

It sucks as a football fan because NFL is such a week to week fan club bullshit media storm.

If you watch NFL you see every QB has bad games whether its his fault or not and Aaron is one of those guys. He has bad games because he's human. Media never covers that, but with Cam its a round table of people criticizing him.

And also I wouldn't count this as a super positive for us. Hundley isn't terrible and the packers have incredible WR and great routes. They always have someone open because of the route tree. Someone is always in each tier of the defense. Great Redzone threats with Adams and Bennett.

We will be lucky to go into that game healthy anyway at this rate. Who will cover Cobb at nickel? Worley vs Jordy Nelson? lol

Our safeties vs Bennett?

Nick Perry will have 3 sacks. They will run weird defenses to expose our QB to WR connections like Philly.

We have great players and most of the time thats why we win. If any one of them steps up, TD, Peppers, Luke, Bradberry, Shaq, Short, CMC, Stew, Cam we can win any game.

Hopefully we will have Byrd running past their DBs and Greg Olsen taking away linebackers who want to blitz.

If y'all think this makes our GB matchup easier, you haven't watched Hundley play.

For a supposed backup, he's pretty dang good. Argue his INTs all you want, but know he's a QB who just got placed in the game with no prior expectation of doing so and commanding the pocket, rolling out, and throwing like an NFL starter.

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Broncos part ways with a CB on the roster bubble Broncos get: 2026 seventh-round pick Panthers get: CB Damarri Mathis The Broncos have a rare problem among NFL teams: too many cornerbacks. ESPN's Jeff Legwold projects they could move on from Mathis, who was very good as a rookie in 2022 before losing his starting job after the defense's slow start in 2023. He played just 27 defensive snaps after Week 6 that season and 80 more across 10 games in 2024. With the Broncos using their 2025 first-round pick on cornerback Jahdae Barron, they could justify moving on from Mathis, who might not be active on game days even if he sticks around. Mathis' best season came with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero in Denver, and he hasn't been able to reach those same heights since Evero left for Carolina. The Panthers are set with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson and nickel corner Chau Smith-Wade as their three starting corners, but Mathis could push the 28-year-old Jackson and serve as Carolina's primary reserve on the outside. Mathis is owed $3.4 million in 2025, so Denver might essentially buy a draft pick by eating some of that cash, similar to what the Commanders did when they sent running back Brian Robinson Jr. to the 49ers.
    • They can get fuged for a 6th and 7th. Doesn't make sense for us for anything less than a 4th and them paying a majority of his salary.
