Been meaning to do this for awhile. Finally going to do it today or tomorrow. Ideally I want to pick 1 bad game from the Panthers and then compare it to a game of one of the best offenses in the league (NE, KC, LA, OAK, etc) Leaning towards NE, but maybe yall can make me change my mind. Then a day or two later breakdown a Panther's game were we had success and see what was different.

What I will be breaking down is play calls, route combinations, defense used by other team and how we attack / adjust to it, offensive line play ie how many seconds does came usually have before breakdown occurs, situational play calls, etc etc.

Naw, I am going to explain and educate people on just how terrible Shula is.

Most of us know already, but I’m more than happy to learning more. I am anxious to see what you have to say. It’s insane Shula still has a job.

I don’t know how you bring yourself to watch that. It would just pain and depress me. This team is such an emotional roller coaster. I know I’m beating a dead horse but the inconsistency and inept ability to formulate a gamelan around the weakness of the opposing team and our own weaknesses falls directly on the shoulders of the coaching staff. It’s almost like they are content with the status quo. If JR have a poo, he would implement changes immediately. The fact that he doesn’t implied he is content with mediocrity as well.

Thanks for doing that.

I’d actually like to see your break down of the last game. It’s puzzling as hell.

I think that CAR vs CHI game was the strangest game I've ever seen. To watch 2 teams hopelessly spin their wheels on offense with exactly the wrong calls at the wrong time was so odd and boring. But Fox knows exactly how to deal with teams like ours. Create a brick wall between the tackles, rush 3 on long passing downs, and wait for the ball to float too high or pop up into the air for an INT.

    • Brandt's comment about Wharton was from his KC perspective when Wharton was a UDFA rookie.   "it goes back to the anecdote that Brandt Tillis had when he was in Kansas City. And it would be so easy to just cut Turk Wharton in 2020 when he was an undrafted rookie from a division two college in Missouri. It would been so easy to cut him because then he would have cleared waivers easily. No one knew this guy. They didn't have any joint practices, didn't have a preseason. Would have been so easy to cut him and bring him back on the practice squad and let him continue to build from there. And Brandt essentially said, "No, he's got to make the 53man roster if we're going to have any sort sense of credibility with this team."
    • Plenty of us were scratching our heads about that signing at the time. Especially with our 3-4 defense. Wharton is kind of a one trick pony situational five tech DT. He doesn't have the beef to hold up against the run and he doesn't have the juice to shift outside. He's basically a situational pass rusher DT. If we paid him $40M+ and he can't start for a historically inept defense then holy poo...
    • Agreed.  300 and 2 or 3 total in Jacksonville in a winning effort would sure be a nice start.
