At this point, I'm hoping there's two Riveras.

Rivera One: In his own Belichick kind of way, he refuses to say anything negative in the press. He's going to feign politeness forever, in the same way that BB will never give any perceived edge away in a press conference.

Rivera Two: The guy we don't see, who is being much harder on his guys behind closed doors, and isn't just pretending there's nothing wrong.

Can you really go this long in the NFL as a player, coordinator, and head coach, if Rivera Two doesn't exist in front OR behind the camera?

if I was TD......and was forcing myself to play with broke ribs (probably largely because Luke is out)....I'd be coming home bitchng like a mofo to my wife about the offense.   Especially Sunday.  Bad things would have been said.  D gift wrapped that game.  Very little O was needed to win that game.

Literally the bare minimum offense would have won that game.

Like possibly two field goals.

How can anyone think this is a good idea?We are 4-3 in a race for the division, not 0-7. It's amazing how she gives her husband a free pass for his ribs, but doesn't give the same courtesy to Cam (shoulder) and Benjamin (knee).

Also amazing how there is a correlation to Cam throwing picks and the receivers dropping passes in practice to the game, but how come those picks by the defenders are not translating from practice to the game?

I guess she also missed the Lions and Patriots games where the offense bailed out the defense. Real productive Kelly, real productive.

Makes no sense at all how anyone can support this, especially when she also gives a free pass to coaching.

As much as I love to hear this from her, and I absolutely do.  I fear that this is also a slippery slope type thing.  This is the something that could create a huge divide in the locker room that could make things worse with a slighter chance that it makes things better.  She is basically sharing things of "in confidence" nature.  Very hard thing to diagnose.  I hope it works for the best.

    • Ideally Bryce and the other starters should get at least a full quarter and an argument could be made for 2 full quarters given how they've played early in the season the last few years.
    • A rookie that has never played a snap and a proven 1000K NFL WR are not going to be viewed the same in these type rankings.  And calling draft picks, lotto picks, isn't some new quip I just invented.  take the big 3 Hubbard, AT, insert whatever 3rd Panther you want vs Kamara, Hill, Olave.  Most football folks outside of Carolina are picking the Saints there IMO.
    • You didn’t really address the point, just like you ignored the point about the RBs initially, and saying “they are all lotto picks” is just a really silly reduction because you could say that about literally any player rookie or vet every snap, every game, every year. It is well known that different positions have different hit rates, and I would argue different types of prospects within position groups as well, and that hit rates change the further down in the draft you go. Everybody knows QB is different and that, for example, first round OL have a really high success rate. Using your lotto ticket analogy…again…you are saying a lotto ticket with a 1 in 100 chance of hitting is the exact same thing as a lotto ticket with a 1 in 2 chance of hitting (this is an example, don’t take these odds literally). The point was he is no more of a lotto ticket than the 31yr old receiver coming off a major knee injury, and in my opinion he is better odds with a higher potential “jackpot”. Saying one player is an “lotto ticket” while another isn’t is just not sound logic. You have no idea who will break out, regress, get injured, etc. There are safer bets than others, that’s all. I don’t think Diggs is a safe bet and even if he was, weighing him over all of the Panthers WRs plus 2 1k rushers is just dumb. You can disagree if you want. The list is stupid.
