Yep, the draft will always be a very inexact science. If we could have a re-do knowing what we know now, Kareem Hunt is probably the #8 overall pick but had we actually taken him at #8 everyone including me would've been losing their goddamn minds.

Actually, I'd rather have gotten Lattimore. Said so at the time even. I know we need offensive help more than defensive, but I didn't see an offensive player there that was worth the pick. Lattimore and Bradberry on the WRs with Luke in the middle taking away the TEs? Where are they gonna throw the ball man?

lets fix our oline before we make assumptions about him. melvin gordon sucked his rookie year because of the line . worst comes to worst if he doesnt pan out at rb hell be a good wr but i honestly think we are not using him right just picture him on the pats he would be going off

yeah, i get it. But we have what we have, where we got it. If he winds up being a receiver mostly.  I'm really not seeing a problem.

Yeah at this point it is what it is but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’m bummed he isn’t looking like the next Leveon Bell.

I dont understand this at all.

Leading rusher is not compatible with Cam Newton at QB.  Newton is always gonna get his. He is always gonna run and hes always gonna poach goal line TD's.   You could have drafted Fournette and he would have a pedestrian stat line at best because Cam does what Cam does and your O line is bad.

I watched you guys again today and the best play was a designed pass to McCaffrey and he picked up like 13 in the 1st Q.    Imagine that. When you scheme him into action, he produces instead of just dumping off panic balls  on him and expecting him to juke the entire D from a dead stop.

Even the announcers called out Cam today for constantly going for the home run ball instead of taking what the D gives him.  He has to be patient.

This just isn't true.

In 2015 Stewart had over 1,000 yards on the ground. And that's on top of Cam rushing for 600+ yards.

We went to the Super Bowl.

Coincidence?

Sorry, I should have been clear. Carolina will never have the NFL's leading rusher with Cam at QB.

I get that a RB will out rush Cam most seasons on his team.

I wish people would actually go back and watch that play and understand that despite what that announcer was saying (the same announcer who called Jameis Winston the Brett Favre of this generation) CMC wasn't going anywhere had he been thrown the ball there. David was in great position with a perfect angle.

Man, just accept that there are some people who aren't going to agree with you on this no matter how many times in how many threads you repeat it ad nauseum.

I had the volume turned down and have no idea what the announcer said and I think the play should have been a shorter pass to CMC.

He's leading all rookies in receptions, drawing a lot of attention from defenses, returns punts better than anyone we had last year and only has one fumble through 8 games. Yeah, he's a bust.

Leading rookies (a small subset) in receptions is a function of the offense and hasn't translated into a good offense, the defensive attention is a month old meme that no one believes anymore, he is nothing special at PR/KR, and yeah players are expected not to fumble.

what game are you watching
