Panthers at Saints Statistical Snapshot

Items of note:

Saints have the #2 offense in the league and playing on their home turf. Not an easy task to stop.

This game showcases two top 5 rushing offenses.

Drew Brees does not get sacked often. Cam more than average.

Panthers win in the 3rd down efficiency category.

Saints defense is slightly above average overall, which is all they have ever needed with their offense over the years.

a great defense trumps a great offense, ala seahawks/broncos and broncos/panthers.

also, the one stat that will be the difference maker is 3rd down efficiency. Keeping drives alive and keeping Brees and company off the field is paramount.

Ron, this is the one game where TOP actually matters. don't fug it up by calling bombs on 3rd and 1.

Games like this is were Rivera is extremely good. Control the Top, run down the defense, and don't give yards with penalties. Brees want make many mistakes because he never has. It will come down to what defense can make more plays. Our playoffs def start Sunday.

This isn't the same team N.O. played earlier. These guys are playing with heart. The offense has been focused on speed with the departure of KB. McCaffrey has adjusted to the speed of the NFL and is getting more production. The defense is the rock of this franchise. All the offense has to do is not f' it up.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
