Steelers at the End of the 1st Half

Down by 17 at the end of the 1st half with 31 seconds to go, Tomlin decided to try and get points.  Lo and behold, after a screen play and a pass interference call, the Steelers got a FG.

Rivera consistently just mails it in before the half often with close to 2 minutes left.  It's truly sickening to watch and that conservative mentality has to be deflating for the players too.

Also, prayers out to Shazier... hope he's OK after what looked like a potentially devastating injury

EDIT:  Steelers ended up winning by 3....

What boggles my mind is how can Ron do that clearly showing he doesn't trust this offense yet think Shula is a good OC? If you don't trust it then it's not good RON

What exactly gave you guys any indication that we would have moved into field goal range at the end of the half yesterday? It was like pulling teeth just to pick up a damn first down.

The Steelers had 0 points before their FG.  We had been moving the ball reasonably well.  Looks like you would fit in well with Rivera's conservatism though.  That's what you call playing not to lose, not to WIN, buddy.

And now the Steelers are driving for the win.

Yep, that end of the half drive gave them momentum (in addition to the 3 points)... It's honestly baffling that Rivera still makes these type of cowardly decisions.  I don't think OVERALL he is a bad coach, but decision making in-game, he is one of the all-time worst, and that isn't an exaggeration.

But instead of properly absorbing and learning from these social cues in person, you're being enabled by your fellow gloomy weird internet friends here which only encourages you to spend more and more of your time online to get the approval you crave.  Just some life advice, my friend...since I'm assuming you are very young.  Don't spend all of your time in here.  There's a whole world out there with real people and meaningful connections.  And despite what the internet has taught you, being pleasant is a good thing. Btw it's really interesting how you ignored this part and instead honed in on a singular 2-second moment that I referenced and saying that I "summed him up" that way.  But hey, this is ass-backwards Internet Land after all.
