There are 2 types of people posting about how the Panthers are going to move: trolls and fuging idiots

Consider this is a PSA to the Huddle and all of Panther World: there is no chance of the Panthers moving. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Nul. Nula. The team has consistently been in the top half of the league in revenue, has sold out every game since 2002, has a built-in PSL machine working very well, a city with leaders that would rename the city's name to Panthers if it meant keeping the team here, Richardson won't sell to someone that wants to move the team, there's no logical place for the team to move to, the league would do everything in its power to keep the team here, a move would trigger a relocation fee of no less than $500 million for a new ownership team about to spend $2 billion to buy the team in the first place...WE ARE NOT MOVING. Stop engaging with people worried about it or suggesting it, there's literally a better chance of Mister deciding to cut Cam and Luke for some reason this week than the team ever moving.

The Charlotte Observer article about JR selling pretty much saying in it how easy it would be for a new owner to move the team certainly isn't helping things...

When will people learn that the Fake News Observer only serves to stir poo up? There is not a chance in hell this team moves.

But they were just talking about the tether that was agreed to between the city and team a few years ago.  Since it was designed to make it difficult for the team to move, they were making sure people understand that it will not be much of a factor for a new owner.  They weren't talking at all about anything else that would be involved with moving the team.

However, I do agree that some people that only look at the surface and don't understand all that is involved with moving a team could read into it and make more out of it than there was.

Every team that has relocated has basically done it because of stadium issues. Eventually our owner, whoever that is, will say we need a new stadium. If Charlotte ponies up some decent public money then there is no chance the Panthers go anywhere. If Charlotte says f u you get nothing then you can't look at history and say there is no chance of moving. The NFL has been happy to vote yes to owners who want to move into a shiny new stadium without hesitation. We just saw it happen three times. That will not change.

There isn't a city in America more likely to do whatever an NFL owner tells them to do than Charlotte.

    • Wanting that type of play and being okay with paying $55 million a season for it are two entirely different things. If Bryce were to become the same player Purdy has been, then he would surpass my expectations of him and I'd be okay with him as our QB of the future (and again, I've long been one of the bigger anti Bryce people here who doesn't think he is capable of being our long term solution). But in no world would I be okay with paying him THAT kind of money, paying an average starter elite money is just a terrible decision.
    • I don't think they can overcome that mistake. Hell Lance was a hiccup compared to this. He isn't going to be able to carry that price tag and now he is going to have to do just that. Lol. The NFL is so dumb sometimes.
    • So, one could say that T-Mac is quicker than someone of his size should be and while he might not be quite as fast as Evans in the 40, he's more athletic than Evans. If only someone, anyone, could have seen that in his tape and mentioned that on here, hmmmmmmm In all seriousness, hearing he tested in the 89th percentile in that drill at his size is crazy impressive.  Just tried to look up the times of the top WRs in the league right now, most don't show at time for that, but I did see Chase ran his in 7 seconds flat. I honestly don't know how true this is, but I do remember seeing one breakdown of his tape and the person said he has quiet and efficient feet.  That he's really good at using the minimal steps possible to make his cuts and because of that, it actually makes him look slower to the human eye because you don't see all the quick chop steps that the guys like Tyreek would use in their running. I'm still in a state of disbelief that he's a Panther and it might not fully hit me until week 1 and I see him out there making plays for us, still feels like Goodell is going to just be like, "YOU GOT PUNKED!!!  hahaha, he's a Cowboy now, suck it"
