Ben Honest Do You Have Any Faith We Beat The Saints Next Sunday?

Sorry I’m a realist. I have been a Panther fan since day 1, so don’t sit here and tell me that I’m a bandwagon fan. But after seeing how crappy this offense is, how other teams seem to have a 100% conversion rate on 3rd downs, and knowing how Drew Brees is in the DOME. Yes we are going to get raped big time.

We've had four ugly losses this season--the Saints at home, at the Bears, at the Saints, and at Atlanta.  After both Saints and the Bears games, we went on a winning streak.  So naturally, we're going to go on one now.  It's just how we do things.

Fortunately, it's the Sunday late game and I've probably watched the other 3 and about ready to do something else. The game will likely be over by halftime, around 6:30 -  7PM, so I can go out to dinner somewhere.

Look, a nationally televised game with an opportunity to move up a few seeds and win the division and really put the NFC on notice and the Carolina Panthers opted to sh!t the bed instead. I would have to go back to the 2001 season to find a single game performance as comparably bad as yesterday.

I'm not going to even watch. My blood pressure will thank me. I'm sorry but NO is going to steamroll this team.

That was Cam's worst game of the year. His second worst was against New Orleans. This is shaping up to be a slaughter. Cam is streaky though.

Run game run game run game run game.

The Saints are wildly successful because they have a thousand yard back on top of what Kamara is doing. Look at what it has done for the Rams with Gurley. Now look at what we managed with Cam Newton and an 8th overall RB yesterday. Much of our success in 2015 came from the fact that Stewart was running like a madman, he had 1,000+ yards himself. Sadly we have many fans here who would rather sacrifice Cam Newton for his mistakes rather than admit that what we've been trying clearly hasn't worked. When you pair the state of the run game with our receivers, welp, it's a long day at the office guys.

Being that the Panthers look bad last week, horrible yesterday, and everyone expects them to get blown out against the Saints..... "YES" they will win because that is what they do most often... win when they look like this and nobody expects them to.

Now being realistic .. "NO" .. but then again I come back to that is when they usually win and surprise me.  This offense is just so bad though, been saying it all year it is what will end up being the demise of this team.

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Broncos part ways with a CB on the roster bubble Broncos get: 2026 seventh-round pick Panthers get: CB Damarri Mathis The Broncos have a rare problem among NFL teams: too many cornerbacks. ESPN's Jeff Legwold projects they could move on from Mathis, who was very good as a rookie in 2022 before losing his starting job after the defense's slow start in 2023. He played just 27 defensive snaps after Week 6 that season and 80 more across 10 games in 2024. With the Broncos using their 2025 first-round pick on cornerback Jahdae Barron, they could justify moving on from Mathis, who might not be active on game days even if he sticks around. Mathis' best season came with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero in Denver, and he hasn't been able to reach those same heights since Evero left for Carolina. The Panthers are set with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson and nickel corner Chau Smith-Wade as their three starting corners, but Mathis could push the 28-year-old Jackson and serve as Carolina's primary reserve on the outside. Mathis is owed $3.4 million in 2025, so Denver might essentially buy a draft pick by eating some of that cash, similar to what the Commanders did when they sent running back Brian Robinson Jr. to the 49ers.
    • They can get fuged for a 6th and 7th. Doesn't make sense for us for anything less than a 4th and them paying a majority of his salary.
