What if a team tied every game they played?

I know it's nearly impossible for that to happen, but what if some team went 0-0-16? Now granted, there would be 13 other teams out there with tie games, and including all the teams in your division would have 2. What would a situation like that...entail?

you would still have 0 wins. Everyone in the NFL(assuming) would have at least 1 win. 0 wins = fail

For the purposes of computing win percentage, a tie equals a half of a win and a half of a loss. So your record would be .500, same as a team that goes 8-8.

Actually, I was thinking that when determining draft status and playoff seedings, a tie counts as one, half a win and one, half a loss. So a team that would go 0-0-16 would actually be looked at as a 8-8 team. I might be completely wrong but I thought I remember reading that last year when the Eagles where trying to make the playoffs over the Cowboys.

As for what a record like that entails? I have no clue and really could care less.

it'll be like 9.5-6.5 which is less than 10-6 but greater than 9-7.

From everything I have read, wins count first. So a team that is 10-6 is better than one that is 9-6-1 since it is first total number of wins that matter. If 2 teams have the same number of wins, then the team with the fewer losses is seeded next.

So being 0-0-16 would put you behind everyone who had at least 1 win. You would be ahead of only teams without a win but with at least 1 loss.
