This year has been different for me. I honestly did not have the emotional ties to this season, and was not totally distraught after the game. I thought the game ended better than expected with us having a chance in the end.

Same here.  After the Super Bowl loss I removed myself emotionally from this team and game. I actually see the team clearer now and it’s not so hard to admit they are mediocre and have been forever.

Agreed. I did not think we had much of a shot and the boys played their guts out. We just simply aren't as talented as the Saints, but nearly beat them anyway. Take away a very questionable IG call and we had a real shot there.

I took this one hard. I guess because it was the first playoff game since SB50. I wonder if I will ever get over that game. Anyway, it was a tremendous effort to rally at the end. Lets plug some holes and make another run at it next season. A big chance to have our first back-to-back winning seasons next year, and I really don't think we are that far off from being elite again. Heck, we beat the best teams remaining in the playoffs (NE & Minn). Keep Pounding folks!

When they were 21-6 down I had pretty much resigned to them losing, but after the CMC TD and the quick stop on D, I really thought they'd pull it out, especially after they were moving the ball down, although I was half expecting to score and then suffer Brees getting 70 yards in half a minute for a game winning FG
