In New York, word is the owners want Matt Patricia but Gettleman wants Wilks.

I just dont see it happening this year.

But I have been wrong before.

Regardless, this is under the assumption Norv would choose Wilks over Ron a second time.

Ron might want to lose Norvs phone number if this happened again.

Wilks got zero shot at a HC gig.  He doesn’t have a McD resume.  Had a half season resume with good D and then his D sucked.

Gotta remember Wilks worked for Turner too.  Turner was the head coach who hired him to coach the secondary in San Diego.

I still think Turner would choose us over Wilks, but if Wilks doesn't get hired it's obviously a moot point.

You don't know he's been the assistant head coach here for a while right? I think thats a tad but higher than just a DC. When Ron was out, Wilks ran the team not McD.

what does Wilks really do besides carry himself like Denzel Washington? The defense was absolutely terrible the 2nd half of the season, and i can't imagine how much worse it would be if Kuechly wasnt checking plays at the line.

Take a look back at what Sean Payton's offenses were doing when he got the Saints job.

Lots of coaches are hired coming off losing efforts.

Let's see if Wilks is a Rooney candidate or true candidate. I remember Rivera getting tons of interviews and as a minority it is hard to tell who was serious and who is just going through the motions until we hired him.

Per Gary Myers, it appears Gettleman really wants Wilks.
