This brings up an interesting question.  I know players can't interact with coaches at this time of year.  Is it possible that Norv left without signing his contract so that he could contact Cam without violating any CBA guidelines?

Well at some point it would make sense to trade any player.. For example, Myles Garrett, Njoku, Peppers, Gordon, Coleman, Jamie Collins, Joe Thomas, Nassib, Danny Shelton, and all the first and second round picks the next two years and I'd do it... Anything less and no chance.

Contact was signed later that day if I'm not wrong... So he had what some 8 hours to talk to Cam?
