Teddy Bridgewater to backup Cam Newton?

Rapaport said on his podcast it was a possibility if Bridgewater doesn't start anywhere. Has familiarity with Norv Turner and would be in a good position to ease back into the game.

Saw that, but not from Rapoport. Interesting.

We had this discussion about pulling a backup from the Vikings a while back. Word now that the Vikings are heavily after Cousins makes it sound more plausible.

Also saw something on Bradford where Zimmer said his knee is degenerative. That's never a word you want to hear in the NFL.

I think that would be a real good move. It also helps out that Norv Turner has worked with Teddy in Minnesota.

Norv also worked with Bradford, but not Keenum. Speculation could apply there too.

If Bradford does indeed have a degenerative knee condition though...

I’d be concerned about his mental game coming off that leg deal. He has still yet to play a meaningful snap since the injury. 

I’m not opposed but I’m also cautious.
