You don't optimize for compensation picks. That would be moronic.

I've never thought Funchess (or Benjamin for that matter) was a #1.  But, to Funchess' credit, I also started thinking he may not even be a #4 receiver until last season.  I definitely think he's a #2, and a really good one if he continues with the same production from last season.

That being said, we need a dynamic #1.  Funchess, for all of the strides he made, is definitely not a #1.

Yea seems that Funchess is a good #2 that will make plays with a true #1 to take the top corner and with the pressure off. He isn't consistent enough atm and the he's young excuse is getting older as he is....and I've used that plenty of times and it still holds true for now as he is still very young but....gotta step up my man.

Looking like our choice for backup QB is either gonna be Derek Anderson or a mid-round pick.  Panthers apparently aren't high on Gilbert, but at least he isn't Brad Kaaya.

If that's my choice, I'm rolling with the mid-round pick.  I think Anderson is done.

I would be willing to bet that they do both.  Ron will keep Derek and they will draft one at some point.  Old habits are hard to break when you are supervised by an enabler.

Still stupid. We all watched preseason. I don’t care if Gilbert is careless, DA didn’t look like he could play football anymore. He was bad bad.

Ron does have an unfortunate tendency to stick with guys longer than he should sometimes.

This one, I really don't get.  It wasn't that long ago the general expectation was we'd have a new backup.  Now?

If you make all decisions about free agents in order to maximize cm picks it's foolish.. Did you even understand the subject here? Poor you.

You optimize  for comp picks by letting all your top players leave and not replacing them. Do this always to optimize for comp pucks. Brilliant strategy there guy.
