If you can get him for 8.5-9M go get him...we haven't spent hardly a dime this offseason and it doesn't look like we will.  No need to sit on unspent cash with a good long term investment out there.  Breeland, Bradberry, Mathieu for the next few years would be really nice.

So, he was cut in part because Steve Wilks doesn't think he "fits the scheme."

The Panthers scheme in the secondary is basically "get to the right place, hopefully make the tackle, don't fug up."

That's Ron Rivera through and through and I can't imagine they pay him. Captain means nothing to this.
