Oh I'm sorry.

This is a great deal!

Hurney is the smarts!

Hurney for God!

Fug that noise.

How old are you dude?  Seriously asking.  You are constantly whining like a spoiled toddler.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with this deal/structure.  Unless you think Breeland can't start in the NFL (which he has proven he can).  Grow up buddy

It's about time to start adding some of these posters who are constantly fixated on praising or bashing the former or current GM to my currently non-existent ignore list.

They're adding nothing to discussion.

Completely agree.  It's absurd the same clowns waste their whole day just saying the same thing over and over without truly digesting what is going on

Backloaded the hell out of it in typical Hurney fashion.

Backloaded would imply the player is getting more than they are worth in later years to make up for a lower salary at the beginning. This is not that. There is almost zero risk due to the guaranteed money in the last year.  And 7 million in 3 years time for a starting CB is cheap.

Kind of had to and I don't think it's bad move at all.

Last reported cap space was 23.5 after Gano signing. Net effect of Torey/Worley trade was a 4.5 hit after dropping and adding salaries.

Brings us down to 19 million. Minus 5 for Pep and we are at 14 Million.  Minus Breeland's hit and we are just a hair above 10MM in space now. Had we evenly allocated it we'd have 5MM in space left.

Did anyone ever figure out if that 23.5 million was already taking some amount into account, for our rookie class?

Dude you bitch about everything.  I would hate to have you running things.   Sorry it hurts your feelings when confronted with the truth.

Sick come back bro. Geez. He has a point, most of your posts aren't very conducive. Really they just come off depressing.

Truth is - we have a poo load of cap space next year, and the year after. The cap raises everywhere, and if his hit is only 9million - well after seeing the last 24 hours of contracts THIS YEAR... this doesn't compare.

@Jon Snow I think if you offered more than your typical "bah humbug" to your post, it would be less conflictual. Maybe add depth. Lately you have had zero depth.

Lol...please tell me how I'm supposed to think again.  You pretentious posters want the hive mentality around here.  You overrate every player that is signed 90% of the time.   If you don't like my comments please by all means put me on ignore.  Until the fug off.

I think someone made a good point about this in another thread. Realistically rookies only take up a couple million because the players they replace on the roster. Their cap numbers are friendly out of the gate, but addition by subtraction makes it easy to fit them into a tight cap.

Not only that but it's been said over and over again that the 24 million already accounted for the rookie deals. So really we had 30 million  minus the rookie deals...ERGO that's why everyone has been talking about and using the 24 million as our money to spend on FAs.....BECAUSE THATS OUR MONEY TO SPEND ON FAs....let that be the final word on that.
