You've got to think we offered close to that, since we had him visit and we're shopping other TEs. Luke just took a hometown discount.

It also makes you wonder, since we don't have that much cap room left, that we will see other commitments start to now flow through with Luke's answer. We needed to know this before we could proceed.

Plenty of tight ends left out there, and draft has some nice options too. I'm not worried, you shouldn't be worried.

Honestly CB, Safety are so much bigger needs in FA right now. I'd rather sign one or both of them over a TE.

The "problem" we have at TE is that we can't offer them an opportunity to immediately compete for a starting position. None of these guys are taking Olsen's job this year.

Why are we imagining Olsen isn't in the lineup? Also, who would come here to be given a chance to be the go to guy only if Olsen is hurt?

This is looking more and more like a rookie's job to be had. 

But also, imagine last year's offense with some better WRs for Cam, taking pressure off the TE spot.
