Anyway, the draft is a crap shoot. I'm not getting riled up over a third (or lower) round comp pick. 

The conversation is moot as it seems Sirles doesn’t count. But say that he did count... would you really rather give up a 3rd round pick for a known entity of Sirles’ caliber? I’d get riled up over that. 3rd rounders usually are solid depth at least and relatively often turn into much more, and on a 4 year very cheap deal. Sirles is a solid player but no chance he’s worth anywhere near a 3rd.

Even prior to your comment @Saca312 shared that it wouldn't be held against our compensatory pick. Some times we just are not correct, its life. Stand by it.

Calm down, I’ve already said I was wrong pal. I did limited research but it wasn’t easy to find an answer on this and I went based off of memory of past similar circumstances. Fortunately for us I was wrong.

 

And actually Saca was wrong as well. Sirles wasn’t released as he claimed.

Sirles will compete but I agree he’s most likely depth. Ideally a rookie takes over at the position, or even Moton or Larsen.

Looks like WR Charles Johnson just got signed by the Jets.  Possibly netting us a 7th, but more importantly, gives us room to sign another FA without losing our Norwell 3rd.

Clay was a restricted fa that was not tendered by us so he doesn't count, and as a receiver he sucked

Ah ok, he was on the original list of OP but i see that its been shown in subsequent posts to be not quite right. As far as a starting receiver im glad hes gone but as a returner he was pretty good imo.
