One of the top defensive ends in the world, former Panther, destroying Arena League in real time

No we wouldnt. We're no where near the favorite for the super bowl and one aging DE who has been out of the league for 3 years isn't going to cause any panic. Off the top of my head, the Rams, Vikings, eagles, saints, and Steelers all have better squads on paper than we do. Adding Hardy doesn't make us better than any of them. We went 15-1 without his Crazy ass and the team that had him had the number 3 pick.

He isn't the missing piece. He never was. We did fine without him. He needed us more than we needed him. His own ego for in the way of him making a comeback in the NFL. He acted like such a twat that Jerry Jones didn't want him anymore. That's an accomplishment.

Move on.

A lot of horse manure here.  Since you mention the Rams first-their biggest acquisition was Suh and he’s two years older than Hardy, yet you call Hardy at 29 but with the tread of a 25 year old “aging”.  Say what?!

Speaking of missing pieces, he damn sure was in the first of our three division titles that got it started.  Obviously, the relentless pressure getting after the QB and stopping the run has been missing since, and we still haven’t won the Super Bowl.  The piece is missing.

We have a former MVP at QB and DPOY at MLB both entering their primes.  With the best front 7 in history, we’d take a back seat to no one in the pecking order.

There needs to be a Greg Hardy test: if you feel the need to bring him up like he's a franchise savior....don't post about it.

There are 31 other teams in the NFL.  If they don't think he's worth the headache, what does that mean?

Greg Hardy is a wonderful lesson to teach at the rookie symposium.  Here's a guy who had it all, but allowed himself to be put into a bad situation.  Should he have been messing with all those crazy girls?  Keeping his guns out?  Staying out well past 2am (Remember, nothing good ever happens after 2am-how I met your mother)? Hardy could have had the world, instead, he chose to play the wrong and most dangerous games.  Now he's "destroying" arena football...

Should be a case closed here.  Be like Elsa and let it go!

Because he’s ours.  Never was a Cowboy in spirit.  Hurney is even back (who would have thought?!), RR, TD, etc. down the line.

One thing about nails.. He's relentless when he gets on a subject. The incessant bashing of Lattimore ( @saints4lifeagain)  and now this belief that hardy is the missing answer to all our problems

Not all our problems.  But would make us the team to beat.

Hardy with his head on right is a huge difference maker. Would have been undefeated in 2015 with him.

I day dream of Hardy and Peppers together sometimes.

Hardy OR the $13+ million gut punch we took for the shield that should’ve rolled over from 2014 to 2015 that could’ve been used elsewhere...either would’ve easily been enough for 19-0.

It's amazing how many people on this board still care about Hardy.  Dude had 1 good year here and people are still drooling.

Our single season sacks leader.  More than Pep ever had in a year.

I'm not saying he didn't seal his fate a bit, but the NFL DOES blacklist players.   Look at Kap.   He could start for half the teams and would be a better backup than 2/3 of them, yet, he has no job.    Hardy was blacklisted, because of the timing of his altercation and how this team through him under the bus.    Yeah he made his bed (of guns?) but any other year it wouldn't have been like this.

But I was thinking about how hypocritical Richardson was, all on TV crying like a baby and then turned and went back to the office for "jeans day" and made all the women uncomfortable.

    • The division is most certainly wide open. The Bucs are a problem but Baker Mayfield is and will remain his own worst enemy it's a matter of when not if he has a bad game or even a stretch of bad games. As far as the Panthers they have done an admirable job of trying to address needs as best they can without pulling a Scott Fitterer and getting desperate which has only made us worse off in the past. On the Bryce subject all anyone can really say at this point is we just have to wait and see. This is the year and despite what the Panthers may say publicly doubling down and going all in on WR is as good as any sign anyone should need that they expect Bryce Young to have a very productive and convincing season. The pieces are in place. They aren't perfect but nothing ever will be. Regardless there's honestly no excuse for this staff and this team not to be able to compete in this iteration of the NFC South. Also just want to say this because I can say the hyper defensive posts already being made in here and it's probably going to be a season with highs and lows again but hopefully more highs for sure. But just because there is dialogue about a position group or a player that challenges your preconceived notions or makes you uncomfortable does not make it "hate" or "anti" this player or that player. For some people who talk a lot about nuance you would think this wouldn't need to be stated but that's where we're at.
    • If I was a coach I would preach "Don't let the refs decide the game" because as soon as you let the NFL the chance to help their bottom dollar whether it be teams that make most money or gambling then they will screw the team that doesn't fit their bottom line......is it rigged? No but do they try and make certain narratives happen abso-freakin-lutley. As I stated in a previous thread NFL players are the ones that SHOULD have all guaranteed contracts but the boot lickers on this forum disagree and argue for the billionaires in this world who own these teams, sheep
    • I wont go quite so far as to say games are rigged.  You wouldnt have to work hard to convince me there was the occasional thumb on the scale but outright rigged? nah.   but collusion on the rest of the "business" of football, sure.  No one really believes that the only time the 32 owners act as one is during the negotiations of the CBA do they?
