Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis was reportedly arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport Sunday after jokingly telling an attendant at the Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter he had smuggled in a bomb while being asked security questions, according to Stella Chan of CNN.

Chan spoke with LAX Police public information officer Robert Pedregon, who stated that Davis "was at the Hawaiian Airlines counter with a female companion Sunday morning answering a series of typical questions asked of all travelers." While answering those questions, Davis and the companion were asked if they had any knives or explosives. Davis then "turned to his companion and said to her 'Yes, did you pack the explosives?'"

Oh C’mon, they aren’t remotely related. I wasn’t there but that seems like a complete joke asking his lady friend that. Unless he did it in a deadpan way that illicited actual concern arresting him is ridiculous and about the same level of stupidity on the gate agent as some of these airline mishaps with dead dogs and dragging passengers off because they needed the seat (not the asshole passengers who were actually acting like dicks).

I understand you have to be vigilant but joking about packing explosives when asked stupid questions doesn’t compare to kids posting threats on Instagram. WTF would admit that they did pack explosives? If they can point to 1 time that a gate agent has prevented a terrorist attack by asking that question then they can arrest him for the joke. There aren’t plane bombs every day like school shootings.

I get that he didn't mean anything of it, but it's just a dumbass thing to do.

    • Wow I can’t believe the panthers tried to trade up, failed, but still got the guy they wanted to trade up for. I wonder if anyone else has ever said that next you’ll tell me they had Hunter and Brazzell graded as first rounders.
    • I don’t think people are saying that picking up the option is a call for the pitchforks. We would have had to do things differently a couple of years back to make declining the option a valid move. We didn’t and here we are. People largely accept that. The pattern it adheres to, reinforces the nausea we feel when the idea of an extension, and at top of the market no less, comes up.  One that he hasn’t shown he deserves.   Same as he did not deserve to be drafted 1.1. Look at Pavia and what really is the difference? Bryce is a nice guy and Pavia is an asshole lol. They are both no margin for error non day one talents. One went undrafted.  Probably should have been drafted day three anyway. The other was way over drafted.
    • We hate losing. I don't know Bryce to hate him. His play as a QB, I absolutely hate. It's just not good enough. If there were a lottery held to select the order and all 32 starting QBs could be drafted as the starting QB for whatever team selected them, how long do you think it would be before Bryce's name was called? Top 10, top 20, bottom 8? Think about it.  For me, having never seen back to back games with franchise QB level performance in 3 years tells me what I need to know. We still need to be looking for our solution at QB.
