Might as well draft a QB if we get as high as 6

yea, more realistically Ridley will fall to where everyone expects him to go (Cardinals Pick 15 , Ravens Pick 16, or Cowboys Pick 19) . Wed have to give up quite a few picks if we're trading with the ravens b/c I think they really want Ridley bad, so I'm thinking theres very little chance we draft him. I could see the Cardinals trading up for a QB and the Cowboys picking Sutton instead since Dez is gone they might want the best big bodied WR . So our only real shot at him is if the Ravens pick someone else, that'll open the floodgates .

Heres a mock example.. the going rate in sims right now to trade up for ridley is our first 4 picks of the draft.

Round 1 Pick 16 (BALT):  Ridley, Calvin, WR, Alabama (A)
Round 5 Pick 24:  White, Kyzir, SS, West Virginia (A+)
Round 6 Pick 23:  Haley, Grant, CB, Penn State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 16:  Pettway, Kamryn, RB, Auburn (A)
Round 7 Pick 24:  Flowers, Tre, SS, Oklahoma State (A+)

A mod needs to clean up all these mock draft threads on the main forum.. getting crazy and theres already a dedicated forum for it.

Probably needs to be  just one thread sticky on the top that everyone can just dump their mocks and draft pure speculation into.

    • Good read and stuff under it is not bad either. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/panthers-cb-jaycee-horn-says-184519429.html
    • While I'd love to add him, it just doesn't make sense for where we are at in our re-build right now. The only teams who should be interested are those who have a very legitimate shot at winning the SB this season, as any team who makes the trade is going to be mortgaging their future to make the move. Teams who make these kinds of trades and then give them the massive contract, in the hopes that it will expedite their path to contention, ALWAYS ends up backfiring because they have to give up the 1st round picks that are then needed to help build out the rest of the roster after eating up such a significant chunk of the cap on the new contract. There is no way the Cowboys trade him for anything less than 2 future 1st rounders (and probably more), plus we'll have to make him the highest paid non QB in league history.  Not to mention that it would then have made the Scourton and/or Princely picks a bit of a waste, as those 2nd and 3rd round picks would have been better off used on a ILB or DB
    • Like his approach to pre season that's ro get them out there and play together for a few plays and right about the night before and morning before.  Maybe we can come out the gate on fire I can smell the smoke from here!!   Go Panthers
