Who was it here that was pushing Isaiah Oliver?

Recommended Posts

I forget who it was, but I do remember there was some guy here who was really pushing Isaiah Oliver for whatever reason.

I don't really make it a secret that since 2012 I've watched as little scout tape as possible, but I was talking to a buddy who works out of AZ last night, and he was raving about this same kid, and I succumbed.

Good God, how do we make this happen?

So admittedly I haven't watched a single snap of his but I feel like whenever I hear about him the knock is that he is below average in the run game. Isn't run support a pretty important characteristic in a Rivera defense?

The guy is the best athlete of any corner prospect much superior to josh Jackson

He is my pick for our first rounder. If not him then some other corner who can play man and zone. Seems to me if you are fast and athletic you should be good at both. I want someone who can battle Julio Jones and with a little help over the top limit him to under a 100 yards. It that asking too much.

    • I'm looking at the schedule and I see a 10+win season easy.  I think Carolina goes undefeated in the division.  I also believe that the Bears, Bengals, Lions, Browns, Steelers are very winnable.  Revenge game with phillips and the eagles could be a win.  Honestly only 2 games I see as chalking up a L to off the bat is the Seahawks and Broncos.
    • I guess so. Don't think I was involved with previous discussions.  Tepper is one of the newest owners in the NFL. Dan is going into his 3rd season as a GM - ever. Dave is going into his 3rd season as a HC - ever. Before becoming a HC, he was an OC/playcaller for one season total. Idzik is about to go into his 1st year as a play caller - ever. WRs are rookies, sophomores and 3rd year guys - though the experienced 3rd year guys are XL and Coker (who has missed a ton of games). TEs are guys going into their 2nd and 3rd seasons, and Tommy Tremble - though Sanders has missed a ton of games. QB has played 3 years. Chuba is an experienced RB, but Brooks and Etienne have taken very little snaps at the position. O-line is more experienced vets with some talent - which is HUGE. Need them to stay healthy. I mean the offense is very young in every aspect except O-line. You see it differently?
