Heading into the draft, this team screams 2006 to me

OP is always good to drop the miserable pessimist's take on the Panthers. We could send 22 players to the Pro Bowl and he can dash off 500 words on how this was a disappointing year.

But that's good. Someone needs to be the basement dweller.

Now that we've got that out of the way,...

Keuchly, TD, Jordan Gross, Cam, and Peppers are great 1st round picks you buffoon.  Beason, Gamble, Jstew and Dwill all had their times at great players too.

Saying that "Hurney has generally spent his first round picks on A.) rotational players or B.) ones that didn't make an immediate impact" is just simply wrong.

How you aren't banned yet is beyond me

Peppers and Cam were addressed as great. He nailed those picks. I would argue they weren't difficult choices to make but that's neither here nor there.

TD was a rotational player who didn't start his first year.

Gross was probably the worst player on the line in 2003.

Kuechly did nothing until Beason was shipped out after Hurney was fired.

That breakdown was specifically meant for how the players did in their first year, you illiterate ghoul. Dwill and Stew were rotational players, and beason was incredibly similar to Kuechly in that they weren't drafted to start in the position they ended up in; not in their rookie years anyway. If you're hoping that a great draft saves this team, you're pissing up a pole.

the team will get old in a hurry next year. should have drafted Davis and Olsen's replacements LAST year.

if they can swing a trade for Flowers from the Giants and hit a homerun on a safety and DT and a get a solid RB in 2nd rd there's hope.

Or time to do black tar heroin again...

Hahahahaha... this proves just how ignorant you are.

Gross literally started every game, and only allowed 3 sacks.  Earning all rookie and all-pro from SI.

Keuchly won rookie of the year...  Beason finished 2nd for rookie of the year behind Patrick Willis.

You analysis is a joke, and posts like this prove you have literally no clue what you're talking about

That offensive line was fuging stacked, and whatever Gross got from people at SI says nothing about my original point.

Kuechly won roty.....after beason was traded and he switched positions.

Beason was a stud....after morgan went down and he moved inside.

like...do you remember what happened those seasons? or do you think hurney drafted two MLB just assuming the players already on the team were about to fall apart

false, he led the NFL in tackles his rookie year, was DPOY in 2013. we didnt trade Beason till like week 3 2013.

oh fug you're right. beason only played four games in 2012.

im confusing that with his 2013

point stands. kuechly was drafted to a position where the team already had a player.

I mean I guess I understand what you're trying to say... you're just largely incorrect.  Hurney's 1st round picks have been great most of the time, and that really isn't up for dispute.  Whether you think Beason and Keuchly were drafted as OLB as opposed to a MLB really doesn't matter.  He drafted impact players...

Anyways... just try to be more positive bro.  We have an opportunity to get a great player tomorrow night, and I'm hopeful that will happen

Don't see the similarities at all. This is going to be unlike any other season following a playoff run because we are going to make the playoffs again with a winning record and will be the first back to back winning season topped by winning it all in Atlanta this season, Cams hometown. Nope I am drinking the koolaid as long as I can because my PSLs are still good for now and I want to see another home playoff game. Too early for all that negativity.

This team is much better built than 06.

Huddle Logic:

Eveyone assumes Olsen’s is straight garbage, Butler won’t fill in. Poe will suck, CMC will get destroyed and die on the field after running up the middle. Funchess is a LB playing WR cause he’s slow and sucks cause it’s fun to say. None of our FA WR will pan out. Payne will suck, won’t draft a Stew replacement. Won’t draft Olsen replacement. All pro R. Kalil will automatically suck cause he finally got hurt.  Bradberry can’t possibly improve. Byrd and Samuel got hurt so now they probably run like a 4.6 and won’t do sht on the field.

That's a lie, no one said that Poe would suck!

everything else you said fits squarely into huddle logic.
