Wow.

Let's factor in WRs are likely to start moving like Miller, Sutton, Hamilton, St. Brown, etc. I think we'll be halfway through this next round and have a guy in target we can use our 5th to move up just a bit for.  We won't have to mortgage the 3rd but enough to assure a talent we want.  There's some damn good ones on that list that were continuously mocked in the first.

Also, as is EVERY year, safeties are set with low values and not ranked how the consensus were on the sites.  It's like that every year haha.

Who's worth moving up for if available let's say at 44??

I will say, I think Duke Dawson, Ian Thomas, & Chad Thomas could be sleepers for us.

People may think Chad Thomas is a reach but in a very thin 4-3 DE draft, might as well grab one of the 3 to 4 talents that have NFL starter caliber talent.  Especially if a lot of the guys mentioned in the OP are gone.

If Rasheem Green is there and Jackson or Oliver aren't then we should seriously look at him. Guy is a monster and can be our long term DE solution.

I hope Hurney is patient and does NOT trade up.

The talent drop mid second is a big one.  IMO tier 1 was 1 to 12-14, Tier 2: Mid-10s to ~40-45, Tier 3: 40-45 to 70

It's worth it IMO

He was on my mind when I mentioned 3-4.  We've basically got a rookie in Hall but the more line talent the better, either side of the ball

He's a pure 4-3 edge guy from what I've seen of him. Played inside in college but he projects as a perfect fit for the edge in a 4-3. Most teams probably view him the same way.

    • It’s a fan message board. Fans are going to debate players. Especially the QB. I hope no one is genuinely upset about any of the dialogue on here.
    • Teddy Bridgewater was a check down QB….saying that doesn’t mean that he literally can’t and won’t throw downfield in a season.  Bryce Young was never drafted to be big armed downfield passer.  I don’t get those out defending him when it’s pointed out that he just  isn’t that.   And finding a game or two where he goes downfield doesn’t change much.  Because all QBs eventually go downfield.  Just like a Delhomme or Favre will play it safe in some random games.  Doesn’t mean they aren’t gunslingers that got gambling in their DNA.
    • Yeah, Fitzgerald was smart to sign with the panthers--not sure how many NFL teams were in the Market....I was surprised to see Morgan re-sign Tuttle and Ray--even if Ray's contract is completely unguaranteed--but with Brown, Wharton, Brown III, Robinson, Cam Jackson--maybe Crumedy--Tuttle could be excellent depth--but at DE, not DT, imo.  Once again, it appears that Morgan may have found UDFAs who have a shot making the team--last year, there were 2 who contributed in a meaningful way.  This year, I see CBs Thornton and Reid with a legitimate shot to make the roster.  I also think LB Nomura has a legit shot (Morgan has to love this guy) as well as LB Bam Martin Smith from USC.  Finally, I think one of the safeties will stick. In all, I expect 1-2 CBs, 1 LB, 1 S, 1 OL, 1 K to make this team. Predictions:   CBs Thornton and Reid make the 53-man roster.  LB Tuasivi Nomura makes the 53-man roster as a ST ace and ILB depth OL Michael Tarquin may make the roster to groom as a potential RT replacement for Moton.  Moton, BC, and Nijman are on expiring contracts.  While I like what I am hearing about Kandra, the OG room is very crowded.  Lewis, Hunt, Zavala, Kingston--but he could compete for the 4th G job. S:  Trevian Thomas, Isaac Gifford are probably the front runners, but Jack Henderson from Minnesota might be able to win a S spot as well.  I expect all three will not make the 53, but the darkhorse name to watch is Henderson. Henderson's Pro day: Minnesota DB Jack Henderson had arguably the BEST overall workout of any Safety in this entire draft: 40yd. 4.47 vertical. 40” Broad. 10’8” Shuttle. 4.15 3cone. 6.70 Bench. 12
